    The National Provider Identifier (***) database is public information and accessible to anyone. The data available in the *** database is disclosable under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This means that anyone can query and retrieve this information through the *** Registry or by downloading the data files according to the Centers for ******** & ***************** | CMS (.gov). CMS

    The *** database is public for the following reasons:

    FOIA Disclosure - The *** data is considered public information because it is disclosable under the Freedom of Information Act. 

    Public Access - The *** Registry is a publicly accessible online database where anyone can search and view information about registered healthcare providers.
