I was randomly billed for stamps that I never received or ordered in the first place. I ignored the invoice, assuming it was an obvious mistake. A month later, I received another invoice for stamps that I did not order and that never arrived. The invoices started coming each month, for some stamps I have never purchased or approved. After a while, I gave up and paid because I didn't want it to affect my credit, even though I never ordered them, received them, or wanted them. The first payment was via the credit card fill in area on the invoice, which I sent back through **** to have processed by the company. The second time I paid I used a personal check for the full amount. I have continued to receive an invoice from this stamp company for $40.40. This is 1) not something I ordered in the first place and 2) a bill I have already paid, although I think it is an error. I have tried reaching out to the business to no avail. Soon, these unpaid invoices are going to negatively impact my credit score and I want a resolution. I have paid the money they think they are owed, even though I have no idea where the stamps went or how they were ordered in the first place. As a last resort I am contacting the BBB because I don't want to pay more money I don't owe and I don't want my credit report to suffer. I would like the company to leave me alone and stop billing me for things I don't order or ever receive. I would like any negative impacts on my credit report to be rectified. I am not sure if this was done in error or out of fraud, but at this point I feel I am being wrongly harassed and it is stressing me out.

      Business Response

      Date: 11/19/2022

Customer requested stamps on approval from our website on 9/1/2020, specific preferences of outdoors, animals, plants, women, and astronomy depicted on stamps. A selection of requested items was sent on 10/8/2020. This selection was paid for by credit card on 3/22/2022.  It was only paid for once.  A follow up selection in the amount of $40.40 was sent. There were several change of addresses involved over this time for her.  No further payments were ever received by us.  We are removing the $40.40 charge that shows owing for items claimed to have never been received on the follow up selection.  We are also issuing a refund in the amount of $27.20 she paid by credit card for the first selection. Refund check to her is on the way. No report was ever made to any credit bureau on this. We have also permanently removed her from our files as requested.
