    In 2019 we hired **** from JEL Construction to rebuild the foundation, create a rear entrance from the basement, stucco the house and garage, and redo the masonry stoop front and side door steps of my elderly Mother's house. They dug up the rear driveway cement slab, which is now cracked and water has lifted and elevated it, which allows the water to run towards the house. Every rainstorm now has water leaking into the basement due to the cracked foundation. When doing the stucco, they removed the vents in the attic and didn't put them back in, and this allowed black mold to spread in the house. We had to hire a professional to remove the black mold and stay somewhere else for 3 weeks. On top of all this, the masonry work they did on her front and back doorsteps has shifted, unleveled and broken off. This was a total botched job at a cost of over $40,000, which is unethical. To add icing on the cake, **** stated he was out of town in ************** for 2 weeks and promised he would call to schedule to come out to look at the issues. Instead, he blocked our number and never showed up. We have made every attempt in order for JEL Construction to rectify the problems. We finally spoke to **** March 4th, 2024 and he scheduled to come check all the damage and never showed up. We had another contractor and an engineer come out to look at the damages from JEL Construction work, and they stated the work was done wrong, and we need to contact them to have them come and redo it over. Not recommended!!!
