    They were making sandwiches on the bare counter and using the same rag to clean everything, including knives on the counter right after making a sandwich

    On 6/8/2025 my husband & I went to Port Of Subs in Winnemucca Nevada to grab a quick lunch. I stayed in the car with our children while he went in. While he was in there one of the workers grew irritated because he asked for the chipotle mayo & said she had to go make it. So she “went to make it” & just slapped mustard on it instead & I did not realize until we returned home. Then I returned back to Port Of Subs at approximately 12:50 pm that same day asking for a refund when I was not only told no but the said owner of the franchise then stuck her finger in my sandwich & rubbed the mustard on her arm, stuck it in my face & yelled “ITS SPICY MUSTARD!” I told her I did not ask for that & she threatened to call the police on me so I left. I paid for a sandwich that I did not received & was humiliated in front of a line of people. I feel robbed & mortified. I am on a fixed income so I had to skip lunch.

    I would like to let you know that this letter was sent to the wrong location. As it states in the complaint that this is for the Winnemucca Nevada location. I am located in Reno Nevada about 3 hours away. The correct store location is Store#170 -  1490 West Winnemucca Blvd- Winnemucca - NV 89445, Phone Number 775-623-3089. 

     

    Once again I would like to reiterate that this was sent to the wrong location. The correct location is listed above. Please contact them. Or you may contact the Port Of Subs corporate office.

    This is **** ******, the franchise owner. I was not present during the incident. Our manager, ***** was on duty and explained that the customer was not present while her sandwich was being made. Her husband asked for spicy mustard. When she brought the sandwich back, ***** offered to remake it for her-she refused and said she wanted a refund. ***** explained to her that in order to do a credit card refund, the card needed to be present. The customer insisted on cash which is not our policy. The customer then became belligerent towards ***** as well as one of the employees and she was asked to leave the store. 

    We strive to always provide outstanding service to each and every one of our guests at all times. We do everything in our power to make things right, unfortunately this is not always possible. In this instance, it was obvious that the customer was not interested in any resolution, only in causing another issue. Thank you for your time, **** ******
