I scheduled an appointment for my daughter Kairi ******* on 05/25/2023. She appeared to have a bump on her eye, it was puffy and red. I saw Dr. Loren ****** that day in which when he had looked at my daughter's eye he touched it without gloves. He then told me to apply hot pack on her and that it would go down in a couple of days. I said that I have no issues applying a hot compress to her eye which I already had been doing so. I asked what do I do if does not go down in a couple of days. Do I come back and ask for antibiotics. Which he said if it does not comes back down then she might possibly have to get surgery. Which I had told him I wanted to avoid surgery at all possible costs considering my other daughter had the same issue and she had to get a surgery when she was 2 years old and that it still didn't go away. Then she had to get antibiotics. So I was simply asking if the bump did not go away would they administer antibiotics. Which he got up and yelled at me saying that it was not an infection and that he had been practicing for 50 years and should know what he is talking about. In which I replied I understand that but he should also understand I went through a traumatic experience with my older daughter and I know just as much that surgery does not always work and solve everything. He then said that they were going to give antibiotic drops for her but they could make her sick. Then stormed out of the office. So I refused the antibiotics. Even if he was upset with me and disagreed with me he could have simply said that instead of yelling at me in front of daughter. Then I'm guessing went and talk to someone about it because I could hear him behind a closed door still yelling.
