So my brother and I had agreed with the owner of the company to exchange services (we do landscaping). We were told it was $500 for the website and we did $100 landscaping job for him so we only paid $400 total. The owner made us a website for our up and coming business now instead of cash I decided to use my credit card trusting he was a man of his word. We made a verbal agreement that we only had 2 alterations for the website included in his service ($400) and anything after was going to be charged so we agreed and went on our merry way. A couple weeks go by and we used one of the free alterations but nothing ever changed on our website (he failed to deliver the product). By now without us knowing he signed us up for a subscription at $100 per month without our consent or permission and on May 10th there was a $500 charge to my card so I had my brother call and see what was going on. Then and only then did he tell us it was $100 for the monthly upkeep of the website. We immediately CANCELLED upon hearing this and asked for a refund since he failed to provide his full service to begin with and he reluctantly agreed. Up until today I have yet to receive my refund and now on June 25 theres yet ANOTHER charge for $500, AGAIN this is after we already cleared it by the owner to cancel. I called my bank and reported both charges under fraudulent charges and they advised me to report this business to the ************************** so here I am. Now Im not the sharpest tool in the shed but this service for service exchange was started on January 4th, were in June 25th and Im down $1000 so @$100 per month we should be in October by now. In a span of 6 months I was charged $1000 please make it make sense.

Customer came in to buy a website, In return they were supposed to do landscaping on our home. They only did the landscaping once. We asked his business partner ***** to do the landscaping when we moved out of the house after we sold it & he didnt do it. So we were authorized to charge the monthly fee because we were waving it because of them doing the landscaping. When we found out they didn't do the landscaping is when we charged the card on file for the first $500 for the 5 months. & then ***** his partner called us & said they wanted to cancel. So per our terms and conditions, they signed a year contract & if they cancel it, then there is a $500 cancelation fee. you can check the early cancelation fee in section 3.2 of our terms and conditions page on our website.

I am rejecting this response because: there was never any paperwork nor was I (card holder) given documentation clearly stating these were the terms and conditions and nothing was ever signed off as it was all verbal. As a business owner this irrefutably irresponsable and unprofessional.

    Sincerely,
