    Business Name: *** Development ** General Improvements Location: ***************** In November 2024, our organization provided a deposit to *** Development ** General Improvements for roofing work. The agreement included purchasing specific tiles we selected and obtaining the required work permit. Unfortunately, neither the tiles nor the permit were ever secured.After months of unreturned calls, a meeting was eventually held, at which time we were informed the tiles we initially selected were now out of stock and material prices had increased. This delay was entirely avoidable had the original agreement been honored. The contractor and his wife also proposed additional items not included in the original estimate, further complicating the situation and departing from our agreed scope of work.Despite our explicit instruction not to proceed with any material purchases until the matter was resolved, they moved forward without authorization. Due to these continued issues and lack of compliance, we formally requested a refund of our deposit via cashiers check. To date, no refund has been received, and all attempts to contact the company have been ignoredno returned calls, emails, or updates.This experience has been both financially and professionally damaging. We are now considering legal action to recover the deposit and hold the company accountable. We are filing this complaint with the BBB in hopes of preventing similar experiences for other consumers and seeking a resolution.Desired Resolution: Full refund of our deposit via cashiers check and a formal apology for the mishandling of this project.
