Dowc are scripted professional scammers. I purchased a 2013 supercharged Audi august of 2022. Upon purchasing my vehicle I was only offered engine and transmission warranty which was told to me to cover any major issues with the two components listed above. Unfortunately for myself my *** has broken down this year around July/august of 2023. I am no mechanic so I instinctually call the dealership and they provided me with DOWC the warranty companies phone number. My initial claim I have had multiple representatives ask me what exactly is wrong with the vehicle and what went wrong (as if I should know, this is the set up so choose wisely how you answer their questions) I assume whats wrong with my *** explaining that I believe the engine is bad, maybe its a head gasket Im not sure and again I cant emphasize this enough I am no mechanic and the vehicle has yet to make it to a shop or even be properly diagnosed or broken down to verify a cause of engine failure. Furthermore I get the car to a shop I am familiar with they provide the warranty company with service records showing that I maintained the *** they sent a third party inspector who was caught in lies and was dishonest on 3 different occasions, And ultimately denied my initial claim stating that based on the video that was sent in and whatever the inspector wrote in his notes(again the suv has yet to be properly broken down or diagnosed) they believe Engine failure to be from a failed head gasket and negligence on my end saying that I said I was driving the car while knowing it was messed up when I never drove the car I said the runs! I have proof and receipts that the car was towed never driven. I now have a pending claim and Ive towed my ver to another shop and theyre doing the same weird scam like procedures all to just to not pay out. They said I dont have gasket and seals coverage. This is unacceptable. If they deny this claim I will have to take further action. Do not buy from this warranty company.

DOWC Administration Services, LLC (DOWC) serves as the administrator of vehicle service contracts and other products offered by dealers in connection with the sale of new and used vehicles. As such, DOWC is responsible for processing claims and providing other administrative services in connection with such products. The Customer purchased Level 3 coverage under a *************** Contract No. DOW247004 on August 27,2022. On or about May 24, 2023, the Customer contacted DOWC stating there was a rattling noise coming from the vehicle. The Customer did not follow up on this claim and continued to drive the Vehicle. On or about August 8, 2023, the Customer stated to DOWC that he did not take the car to a repair facility immediately due to lack of funds. **** asked if the Customer was having the same concern as the previous claim, and ******** stated the problem had become worse and they could no longer drive the vehicle. Pursuant to the Contract, SECTION 4 WHAT THIS SERVICE CONTRACT DOES NOT COVER (See Contract, p. 5), provides no benefits or payment if the Customer fails to use all reasonable precautions to protect the vehicle from any further loss or damage. It wasnt until September 1, 2023, that Customer had taken the vehicle into a repair facility for diagnosis. The repair facility stated that the engine needed to be replaced as a result of a head gasket failure. Pursuant to the Contract, SECTION 2 WHAT THIS SERVICE CONTRACT COVERS (See Contract, p. 3), *************** are only covered if required in conjunction with a covered repair. In this case, the head gasket was the cause of the vehicle failure. Head gaskets are not a covered repair nor are the repairs in the Customers claim covered because, according to the repair facility, those repairs were caused by the head gasket failure. Customers claims were carefully evaluated and adjudicated consistent with the clear terms of the Contract. Coverage was appropriately denied. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the Customers concerns.

This is an absolutely horrible company and I cannot believe they are still in business. I was forced to purchase a service contract with DOWC from the dealership when purchasing my new vehicle. Now 4 months after purchase I had to file a claim for items that seem to be clearly covered under my LEVEL 3 (out of 4 levels) plan and my claim was denied. I called personally and as spoken to like I did not have my contract in front of me and as if I couldn't read what it said. Incredibly condescending agents. He also could not tell me what my plan covered or how it would be covered because I wasn't the mechanic?! I paid for the service, how can you not explain anything to me?! I will be filing complaints every where possible until my claims are resolved and I am reimbursed. Clearly dealerships that sell lemons use this service plan as a ploy and all parties involved are scam artists. BEWARE!!!

DOWC Administration Services, LLC (DOWC) serves as the administrator of vehicle service contracts and other products offered by dealers in connection with the sale of new and used vehicles.? As such, DOWC is responsible for processing claims and providing other administrative services in connection with such products.? The Customer purchased Level 3 coverage under a *************** Contract No. DOW275243 on July 14, 2023 The covered vehicle is a used 2016 ********** Tiguan (Vehicle). On or?about November 9, 2023, the Customer contacted DOWC to inquire regarding the coverage of her Contract as her check engine light had come on and the Vehicle needed to be serviced. The Customer stated her Vehicle was currently at Eurofed (Repair Facility) and a diagnostic service had already been completed. DOWC instructed the Customer to have the Repair Facility contact DOWC to open a claim to determine if the repair is covered by the Contract. On or about November 9, 2023, the Repair Facility contacted DOWC stating there was sludge present in the engine, specifically in the oil fill cap. The Repair Facility recommended performing an engine flush on the Vehicle. An engine flush is not a repair but a maintenance service. Pursuant to the Contract, SECTION 4 WHAT THIS SERVICE CONTRACT DOES NOT COVER (See Contract, p. 5), there is no coverage for maintenance and parts of the Vehicle subject to regular maintenance. Thus, DOWC processed and administered the claim consistent with the clear unambiguous terms of the Customers Contract. Customers claims were carefully evaluated and adjudicated consistent with the clear terms of the Contract. Coverage was appropriately denied. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the Customers concerns.?

I have had DOWC for 4yrs for a extended warranty on my *** X5, my check engine light came on which required the use of my warranty to get my vehicle fixed. I spoke with ************** who was in charge of preparing my claim. ****** did a great job in getting my claim approved. Buying s extended warranty is something that is very unsettling for alot of people, I'm happy to say DOWC held up their responsibility to the Warranty I purchased with them and I thank them and ************** for doing so.

I have been a customer of DOWC for the past few years, and I can confidently say that they have consistently exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, reliability, and transparent service has made them my go-to choice for car warranty coverage. One of the standout features of **** is their comprehensive coverage plans. They offer a variety of warranty options that cater to different needs and budgets, ensuring that every customer can find the perfect plan for their vehicle. From basic powertrain coverage to extensive bumper-to-bumper warranties, they have it all. What truly sets **** apart is their commitment to transparency. They take the time to thoroughly explain the terms and conditions of their warranty plans, leaving no room for surprises. This level of clarity and openness is something I greatly appreciate in the often complex world of warranties. When it comes to making a claim, **** excels in efficiency and professionalism. Ive had to use their warranty services on a few occasions, and each time, the process was smooth and hassle-free. Their network of authorized repair shops is extensive, making it convenient to find a qualified mechanic for repairs. The customer service at **** deserves special mention. Their representatives are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely caring. One of them is ******* who has been very helpful. He goes above and beyond to assist customers like me and ensure that they have a positive experience, whether its during the initial purchase or when handling a claim. Another noteworthy aspect is DOWCs dedication to customer education. They provide resources and guidance on car maintenance to help customers prolong the lifespan of their vehicles, which I find incredibly valuable.

Its unfortunate that when a dealership and **** part ways, the contract holder is left with a useless warranty. **** approved the claim but will not provide any written documentation to provide the repair shop or dealership. The dealership has refused to pay the claim without documentation from ****. I had a previous claim denied and **** happily responded with a denial letter. I wonder if **** and dealerships play the administrator/provider game with every contract holder. I highly suggest that no one purchase a warranty from **** when purchasing a used vehicle. I should have done my due diligence and I would have caught the scam before purchasing a ******* useless warranty. You all should really be ashamed of your company, product and service.

Do not obtain a warranty from this company. After reading these reviews it seems that they intentionally hold off on the claim until you pay up front and then deny claim based on pre existing problem and some bogus claim about mileage after you purchase. Out $3,000 even though repair show should be covered only if we took to a specific garage for repairs.
