on 10/21/2024 I had an MRI done at Hackensack *******************. Medical services were provided by Hackensack Radiology Group. They never submitted the claim for payment of $350 to my insurance. They engaged a collection agency. I contacted the collection agency and was told that the claim was labeled as a self-pay. I had, and continue to have health insurance coverage through ******************/Blue Shield of NJ, however they neglected to submit the claim for this service to my healthcare carrier. All other providers involved in this service submitted their claims to Horizon and received payment. On 4/24/25 I contacted Hackensack radiology and spoke to ****. I explained the situation and he confirmed that the bill for $350 on 10/21/24 was never sent to my healthcare carrier, Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield because it was coded as a self-pay. He said that he would escalate this to pull the bill from the collection agency so that they can then submit the bill to my insurance. He said this would take approximately five business days. I continued to get harassing letters from the collection agency so on 6/2/25 I again contacted Hackensack Radiology. I spoke to ***** and he confirmed the bill had not been pulled from collections, thus nothing had been done since my previous call to them.On 6/13/25 I again followed up and spoke to ***, who also told me nothing had been done since my last phone call but he also would follow the escalation process. He said someone should call me within 3 days. After three attempts to get this matter resolved and each time finding out that no one has done anything beyond the conversation I had during each call I am frustrated and realize that this company does not respect their patients or take their responsibility seriously. I am hoping that this complaint will lead to a resolution of this matter.
