    We hired *********************, the owner of the conpany and initated our deck project on February 14th. Soon after we made the 1st payment is when the issues started. He became less punctual with his responses and updates. When it came time to take care of the permit, days and weeks would go by with no word. I would reach out to him for an update and hours would go by before he responded. When he did his responses were always something like "I just reached out to..." "I haven't heard anything let me reach out" He was not staying on top of things unless asked.He verbally informed us about the possibility of architectural fees but assured us that we most likely would not be needing those. Turns out that the permit would not be approved without architectural blueprints. Waiting for him to communicate with us, the architect, and the permit office, we waited 5 weeks.He miscalculated the cost of the project and then ended up charging us hundreds more to make up for his error, never admitting it. Just explained them as "unforeseeable costs"We finally broke ground on May 8th. 3 inspections were needed throughout the process and each one failed initially because they did not match what was on the blueprints. Again, never admitting to wrong doing or negligence, only placing blame on the inspector for "being a ********"When the job was completed, he came out to clean up and elude to the final payment even though the final inspection had not been passed. He mentioned sending it over Zelle or *****. I instead wrote him a check in the agreement that it would not be cashed until the final inspection passed. He cashed it days later on a Saturday. The inspection took place on Tuesday june 4th and it did not pass.Currently we are still dealing with a failed inspection that took place 10 days ago and he still has not been back to correct his work. I have tried to contact him and he said he would come out but has not and is telling me to be patient but has not gotten back since
