My timeshare membership with FantaSea resorts has been absolutely horrendous. Every single representative I have spoken with has belittled me and made me feel like I had no idea what I am talking about. I spoke with ****** and she refused to give me her last name. She was extremely rude to me and asked me why I was throwing a temper tantrum, I asked her to speak with a supervisor then she placed me on hold and the line was disconnected. I then spoke with a man named *** and at the end of the phone call he said he was putting me down as uncooperative. How does me desperately needing out of my timeshare and trying to express my concerns make me uncooperative? I feel as if he said that because he no longer wanted to talk to me and listen. **** is another rep who was completely rude and tried to ignore every concern that I had and basically told me I will be forced to pay. I am not giving this company another dime. I really need some assitance in getting released from this timeshare. I can not handle this stress any longer. It is draining me mentally and emotionally. I have read the consumers complaint. Our records indicate that our representatives have spoken to the consumer attempting to make an arrangement for their delinquent balance, and that the consumer has refused to any assistance and has hung up on our team. If the consumer had any rejection to the contract, she was given a rescission period,as stated in her contract, from the date of signing to cancel. Please advise the consumer to contact our mortgage department at ************** to set up payment arrangements. *************** to the Business of Flagship Resorts *************. Once again, I do not appreciate being talked to as if I am a child, Belittled, insulted, or talked to in an insultative manner. Immediately after signing my contract, I returned home and I did experience major hardships, such as replacing brand new hot water heater, sickness of health and financial difficulties, which I had to take the time to address. I explained to the a mortgage team and the Financial Director that I have no ability to be able to pay that mortgage contract. I am seeking to speak or communicate with someone that can release me from this Timeshsare due to my hardships and inability to pay. I want to speak to a professional person, without being talked down to, who can direct me to getting out of this investment which I cannot afford to be in. I have not used the Timeshare due to the lies and misleading judgement of this so call investment and I will not be using it at all. I have communicated with the Better Business Bureau to bring to their attention of the rudeness and disrespect I have had to deal with, within Flagship resorts in *************.

I have read the consumers complaint. I am unsure why the consumer feels they are being ignored, as representatives have attempted to reach them on multiple occasions to assist them. This organization is predatory. When i purchased this time share i did not receive the actual contract until months later, when i did receive the contract, they told me it was too late to get out of it. Now here I'am years later with a timeshare of no value, that I've never used and an organization that is unwilling to end the contract. There is no selling it, there is no giving it away (no one wants it). Is my only option to be bleed dry by this organization.Business Response

I have read the consumers complaint. Owners receive copies of their paperwork at the time of their purchase. As per the original agreement, the consumer must sell their ownership interest on their own and we do not cancel contracts or buy back their ownership. Upon reviewing the account, I see that the consumer has been in contact with our mortgage department, and representatives are assisting in arrangements regarding their past due amounts. Once the maintenance fees and the remaining principal balance is paid in full, and when the consumer has arranged for their buyer, I can offer as part of the settlement to waive our internal transfer fees. It should be noted that the BBB should not be used as an exit strategy or as an effort to avoid financial obligation.Customer Answer

I have read the consumers rejection.Our previous response was considerate as per the consumers request to return their ownership. The consumer willingly purchased his ownership and signed the contract in 2017. The consumer reviewed and received a copy of the contract and was aware of the terms at the time of purchase. We do not have buy back or cancellation program for timeshare ownership. Again, should the consumer wish to sell on her own, we are happy to waive the internal transfer fee as a courtesy.Initial Complaint

FantaSea Resorts has placed me in a precarious situation. They have consistently hounded me regarding my past due balances, but when I've attempted to come to an agreement to sever my ties with them, they become unresponsive. Due to the presentation with FantaSea Resorts being so poorly executed, I did not really know what I was involving myself with. Once I realized that I was misled and wasting money, I contacted FantaSea resorts on multiple occasions, approximately 14 times, between 2016 and 2018. Every time I attempted to contact them I received their voicemail and never got a call back. The way they handle the people they claim to service is horrid. I tried to take matters into my own hands and sell the timeshare, which they claimed would be easy to do, and it is virtually impossible! It isn't surprising that that's the case, especially considering how they've handled me, and I'm sure countless others, to date. Their only goal is squeezing money out of you. They do not care what tactics they use or the ramifications it has in your personal life. Due to this, it has been few a years since I've used FantaSea Resorts for anything travel related and have no intention of using them in the future. My only objective is to be relieved of this waste of a membership as soon a possible.Business Response

I have read the consumers complaint. Our sales team works diligently to ensure that each consumer understands their purchase/contract and is happy with their decision. In addition, the consumer had a rescission period in which she could cancel her contract, but did not cancel. Our records show that there was never any mention of canceling. Our records also show our team attempting to contact the consumer on multiple occasions in attempt to help the consumer settle their past due balance. Currently,the consumer has a past due balance on their mortgage of $5,313.36 and maintenance fee past due balance of $2,146.02. To whom it may concern,We have been locked into a timeshare scam, and we desperately need your help to advocate for our contracts termination. Our story is like many others; we were offered a gift to attend a short presentation. That presentation was a several-hour rotation of salespeople trying to sell us a timeshare. They became increasingly persistent, telling us that the investment would make us our money back exponentially. Knowing wed be unable to leave without purchasing, we relented and have been suffering from that mistake ever since. For all of the money that we pay in maintenance fees, the resort is disgusting. We know its *************, but we believe its another level of gross. So why are we paying thousands of dollars for a moldy hotel room that we can only use once a year?Customer service is practically nonexistent. Even if this was a five-star resort with the highest cleanliness standards, we could not book because of a lack of availability. Were sure theyve suckered many people, but its ridiculous they expect us to pay them for the idea of a vacation.Im sure whatever executives are profiting from this are willing to turn a blind eye to how management runs their business, but we implore you not to. We need out of this contract as soon as possible. We cannot keep up with the constantly increasing fees. This has been the farthest thing from an investment because investments return something, even if that return is enjoying the purchase regularly. I have read the consumers complaint. Im confused why they feel as though they were forced to stay here during the time they were purchasing the property. The purchasing process *** take some time as our sales team is diligent about ensuring the consumer is given a deal that they are satisfied with and understands their purchase. The sales presentation that the consumer attended prior to the purchase is voluntary, and no one is forced to stay. The consumer has a past due mortgage balance of $4,291.26 and past due maintenance fee balance of $2,501.39. It should the BBB is not an exit strategy for the consumers financial responsibility. Was invited to stay for a weekend at a great price if i stayed for a weekend and when they completed the paperwork and got home to read it nothing they promised was in the paperwork such as i can return the property back at at anytime for $1.00 . We are formally writing this complaint against Flagship Resort. We continue to request to be released from this burden but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. As mentioned before, we can no longer hold onto this burden. We are struggling to pay all of our bills. We are trying to prioritize spending and we cannot afford the fees for the timeshare. We are paying monthly for a part time timeshare, this isn't part time. We are under a lot of stress due to this and cannot handle it anymore. We need to rid ourselves of this contract. We have addressed this with Flagship and they have not shed one inch of concern. The fact that this company would treat their clients like this proves exactly why we want out. We are not asking for anything in return, only a mutual release from them completely. Please review our case and help us with the resolution we are seeking. We look forward to hearing from you. I have reviewed the consumers complaint. In reviewing customer notes, I do not see any communication expressing their wish to be released from their contract. We show that the consumers account is delinquent with a past due balance of $2,837.88. Their maintenance fees are also past due in the amount of $821.36. The BBB is not an exit strategy for the consumers financial responsibility. As per the original contract, if the consumer wishes to sell their ownership, they must do so on their own. When the consumer has arranged for their buyer, I can offer as part of the settlement to waive our internal transfer fees of $385.00 as a settlement.
