    Never updates their system in real time. You will have money in your account but come Monday morning youll be in the negative. They charge $30 PER transaction even if its a $3 charge. They wait days to take out payments but wont wait until the end of the day for you to pay the money back so you dont get overdraft charges. I was charged THOUSANDS of overdraft fees over the past two months on days weve been paid and they refunded me $60 as a courtesy and expected that to be a comparable amount. How they think its morally or even ethically ok to rob people that kind of money is disgusting. The business has so many awful reviews online about not helping their customers and when they say they will call back they never do. Im currently in the process of switching banks because I cant actually afford to have them as a bank?! How does that make any sense? Disgusting. **************** isnt there at all and they have no compassion when they cause people to legitimately suffer.

    ****** ***** has requested the refund of Courtesy Pay on the following dates for various transactions:
    4/9/2025 3 courtesy pay fees, which the credit union reversed as an exception
    6/12/2025 10 courtesy pay fees
    8/18/2025 12 courtesy pay fees, which the credit union reversed as an exception
    8/20/2025 30 courtesy pay fees

    The member opted into Courtesy Pay to cover transactions that cause her account to go negative. Courtesy Pay is an overdraft allowance connected with a members Share Draft account. It is not a line of credit, but a privilege extended to members. If a member accidentally overdraws their checking account, Courtesy Pay will cover the overdraft, subject to individual limits, helping to avoid returned items and associated fees. This member is aware of the services purpose and the associated fees.

    The credit union policy agrees to refund any fees incurred due to a credit union error. The fees incurred on this membership are due to repeated overdraft activity primarily due to frequent ****** *********************** clarified that Courtesy Pay is an optional service offered as a benefit, not a guaranteed feature of membership. In light of the ongoing account activity, the decision was made to remove Courtesy Pay access on August 21, 2025, to help prevent further fees and financial strain for the member.

    I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because not only did you charge me the $30 for the overdraft but also another $30 for a bounce back from pay pal totally $60 in charges on items that were supposed to have already been paid for but even though our account showed that we were positive your system never updated to say it in fact was not, furthermore I have offered to pay everything I owe you but refuse to pay THOUSANDS more in courtesy pay because if it was a courtesy pay then it wouldnt be on everysingle $3 transaction and then us get charged $30 per charge. It should be a one time fee and then give someone a chance to cover the overdraft and pay that one fee. Instead your company rips people off by charging every single transaction not giving them any breathing room to even attempt to try and pay you back. I have said I would pay what I owe from what was spent and then I wish to close my account and then no response back from your company as usual. And just like the reviews say how awful your customer service is.

    I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because while I paid what I owed and we closed our account it still ignores the fact that your company is a sham and the only way you make any money is being awful customer service and fees. Just read the reviews on ******. And then to take as long as you did to even respond to BBB just goes to show liittle you care. Instead you decided to show transactions that never updated in real time and were the reason we went over drawn. Maybe next time if someone is becoming overdrawn that you feel the need to charge that much in fees that maybe you should stop allowing the payments to go through. Im not satisfied. Im still out the thousands from the month prior but whats the point anymore?

    I had an account with Triangle Credit Union attached to a car loan. The loan was paid off in 2018. I thought the account was closed at that time. On September 17, I received an email from them with account information. I called them and asked for the account to be closed since I don't want it or need it and I actually live two hours away in a different state. I sent a letter with the information that they requested. I got an email back from them on September 19th stating that the account had been closed and that my funds were being sent to me. It was only $25.43. This wasn't about the funds. I just do not want an account at this credit union with my name on it. I received a check for the funds in the mail and I thought the matter was over. On October 7th, I received a bank statement in the mail that shows that the funds had been withdrawn from my account, but that the account is still active. I tried to call the branch manager today, but she is not in. I am quite angry. I do not want this account. I did what they asked me to to close the account and they sent me an email, lying to me, saying that they had closed it. I just want this account closed. I don't understand why they couldn't just do it. Clearly, following their instructions to close it is not enough. I live two hours away from them. I really don't want to have to drive to New Hampshire to take care of this.

    I was able to get a hold of the branch manager in Elm Street. That was the branch that I always used. She was very nice. She actually helped me resolve this situation. I wanted to update you so you know that this has been taken care of and no further action will be required. Thank you for taking the time to try to help.

    Ms. ******* contacted
    the credit union to close their membership and provided the requested signature
    on September 19, 2023. The membership was closed on that date and a check was
    mailed with the balance. The member received their September 2023 account
    statement as required per Reg E compliance as there were existing funds on the
    membership during that month. Ms. ******* will receive an annual statement at
    the end of 2023 since funds were present in an open membership during the year.
    This is confirmation that the membership was closed as of September 19, 2023.

    I received a letter in the mail from the Collections department of Triangle Credit Union claiming that I have missed 2 of my car payments since November of 2022. This was definitely a mistake on their part because I have proof from my bank statements that payments to this bank were made. I emailed Colleen V****** on January 3rd, the person who sent me the letter, and she never emailed me back. I called Triangle Credit Union Thursday, January 5th and spoke to someone named Colleen about this issue. She saw that there was payments made for every single month of 2022 and was puzzled herself as to why I was accused of missing payments. She said she would look into the matter and call me back the following day and never did. Very shady in my opinion. My credit has been affected by this substantially and it needs to be resolved now.

    A member of our staff worked directly with Ms. ***** on 1/9/23 to review the payment issue. Our staff member explained to Ms. ***** that we did not see a payment made in November and that Ms. ***** was behind by one payment, not two. Ms. ***** provided a statement copy showing a cashed payment check dated
    10/21/22. After further research was conducted, it was identified that the check was applied to the incorrect account on 10/27/22. Triangle Credit Union will correct the payment and refund any fees accrued from this, as well as correct Ms. ****** credit for November and December of 2022.
