Company was hired by the builder to install lawn irrigation in our housing development, as the house is less than 2 years old. There was a leak in our system causing our water bill to go from an average of 35 dollars per month to over 180 dollars. I had the water company replace the meter, and test it at my expense. Granite State was called & came out numerous times throughout the summer of 2021, but could find no leak. They replaced spray heads, saying they were defective (but not leaking), and tried to get us to pay for the replacement of defective spray heads (which should have been covered by the warranty). Called another irrigation service company and the tech found the leak within 3 minutes of arriving!! When Granite State Irrigation did our installation, they left all fittings on the manifold from the main water line very loose, not even hand tight. The newly hired tech tightened all the fittings and found one was barely connected,and the system does not leak. When we contacted Granite State about this, his reply was, "That is wonderful they found a manufacturer possible issue. It does happen. Hopefully it stays sealed could be bad O-rings." The leak was NOT caused by any manufacturer defect, it was caused by poor workmanship from Granite State Irrigation. This has caused me to overpay hundreds of dollars in water bills, plus $75 to the company that saw the problem and easily fixed it in mere minutes. Granite State's techs were here several times and continually failed to find a leak. Also, we were cautioned us that Granite State Irrigation did not bury the lines deep enough under ground. Because the lines are so close to the surface, they are vulnerable to mowing, plowing and other yard maintenance. The company's response to my complaints was to block my phone number and to tell me to have a nice day. When I put this in a review, the also replied with "Have a nice day". This tells me that they have no intentions to be accountable for their actions.
