    We hired a contractor, Brian Gauthier, to build an addition and several renovation projects to our home. We discussed our plans and made adjustments as Brian had some good ideas. I drew up plans of all that was to be done, gave to Brian, who came back with a price and we agreed. He started mid October and had a finish date for March. When hiring Brian he talked about his team, but we soon learned Brian did all construction by himself. There was an issue with our water system code and a plumber came out immediately to fix it to code. The code **** were still not happy and over a month they went back and forth. Near the end of Brian's work, at the end of July, there were still things to finish plus our final walk through and punch list. Brian never came back. The last time we saw him was July 31, 2024. He was then working 3 hours away at a job he said would make him a millionaire. He said he would come back often as his family were still living here. I have called, I have written, asking him when he would return to finish our house. He said I will be there in 1 week or 2 weeks, etc. He never showed. He stopped answering completely. I wrote him over a month ago and said if I didn't hear from him in a week, I was filing a complaint with the BBB. Nothing. I want my house finished.
