      Purchased "loam" from Groundhog in the fall of 2021, it was delivered. As I spread it out through the property I began to find glass... And not just a few tiny pieces... I have multiple sandwich bags of glass, brown, clear, green, bottom of bottles, some have designs, then we get to another set of sandwich bags of hard, sharp plastics, and lastly, a couple baggies full of straight garbage or strange objects. Everytime it rains I find more glass. It's now June of 2022, and I am disgusted with the things I'm still finding- top find- a used bandaid. The website boasts that you have your own loam sifter, that you crush it all up to the finest quality. No disclaimers about glass or warnings that children or animals playing in it, or gardening in it, is at the buyers own risk.. What was received is nothing less than landfill, a variety of items this immense can only be described as the findings of a street sweepers truck load mixed in with dirt... You cannot possibly sell this to people... You should be paying people to take this and put it in their yard. You're littering, in all seriousness. This is not topsoil, not loam, not fill, it's straight garbage. At this point, I'm open to negotiate what can make this right- a refund, a re-do, or a gift card to **** *****. But this is just not okay. I attached just a few images of the serious items that are extremely concerning.

      This company only cares about money. In May they came out for a regularly scheduled service appointment. Their equipment failed and leaked gasoline over the entire lawn. They came out three weeks later and dug up the burnt lawn and put new seed down. 9 weeks after the original incident, my law has more loom than grass. They have charged me for the original service of 165$. Meanwhile we put on a new deck this spring and we have not been able to entertain or have people on the lawn. They say it is useable. I say Only if you want to have muddy shoes. Gone are the days when the customer comes first. Instead of doing something to show good faith, they are charging me for this day of service. They are only worried about getting their money. They have lost a customer. I have no doubt that they would be a good lawn service, however, should a problem arise, you will be the one paying. I would not recommend Groundhog to anyone.

      It is unfortunate that Ms. ********** feels that way. We did have a machine leak gas on her property, however, what we did as a response is quite a bit more than she is letting on to. First off we waited three weeks to make sure that the gas was damage was complete not because we were neglecting the property. At the time of the repair we rented a sod cutter and sliced out all the damaged turf and removed it all from the property, we then re-loamed the damaged areas, applied seed, starter fertilizer, and a soil additive called Hydretain to aid in water retention. When we left the property both Mr. and Mrs. ********** were very happy with the repair. Upon returning for the next scheduled treatment we applied more seed and starter fertilizer to the areas still not coming in. Because of our error all of these things were done at no charge. On June 4th at 5:12 pm our office called her about her outstanding bills at which point she said she would pay the bill once the yard repair was done, we explained why we were waiting the three weeks to ensure that the damage was done. She understood and agreed. Once the repair was done she changed her tune and refused to pay for the services rendered. The 165.00 charge that she is complaining about was for preventative grub control to her property which was applied properly and is protecting her lawn from grubs as I write this and has no bearing on the burn and fix. Not to mention that she has not paid for either the grub control treatment or her last fertilizer treatment. Mrs. ********** also yells, swears at, and demeans the ladies that work in the office. At this point we are walking away from the ********** account and will not service their property moving forward.
