    Not one to normally write bad reviews but this Vavoline has really left me and my family in a hard place. Received an oil change from them on my way home from *******************. I knew one was needed and stopped by there with the new car I just recently purchased. I received nice service (so I thought) just to drive home to Virginia and my check engine light came one. I had a notable mechanic check it out and they said I had no oil on the dipstick. Fast forward I call my dealership about the issue and was encouraged to continue to put oil in my car until the light came back on. A few weeks past and no luck but my car was clearly leaking oil. I take to my dealership at their urgent request in hopes of finding the issue. They told me that as they tried to perform oil change and diagnostic they found that the oil plug was double gasket which caused the oil pan to crack. No one at ******** mentioned doing this or seeing this prior to servicing me. Essentially my dealership let me know this is human error but they should have notified me. In my invoice from the dealership they noted that Vavoline overtightened the drain plug and cracking the oil pan trying to stop the leak. When the lifted my car up the engine undercarriage was soaked with oil and and the felt was saturated. What gets me is I call to file a claim and spoke with the area manager (***) who mentioned he had to PULL FOOTAGE for next steps and would call me back Monday or Tuesday of this week. I never received a call Monday so I reach out to Customer Support Tuesday just to be told he was on vacation but he would call me back Wednesday. No call by 3 pm Wednesday so I reach back out and support connects us. On our call he pretty much said there was nothing that would do to fix because the person who did my oil change has a clean record and has been with them for years. I asked about the footage and he said THERE WASNT ANY. I ask how can they determine this decision them and essentially he really has no explanation besides how the company personally feels about the employee. After this I asked to escalate to his manager because none of this makes sense: I also requested in writing a policy or procedure on how issues like this are handled. He still had no response and said he would escalate to his manager. I really just want and need this mistake resolved. I love ******** in VA and always took my ***** there during college. I am really saddened by how theyre trying to make a decision but theres no footage? Thank you in advance

    Valvoline broke the oil pan bolt housing in a practically new vehicle with only 44,000 miles on it. Valvoline was the only company to service the vehicle's oil system/engine other than the dealership it was bought from new. I would not allow any Sub-standard repair of my property!
    I wanted the vehicle towed to a reliable mechanic (The GM Dealership) They assured me it was taken care of and that it was OK to drive 4 miles.
    While driving away the temporary plug Valvoline installed, it failed on the way to the GM service center 4 miles away. I was told by the Manager on duty that "it would hold" and "that I should take it directly to the GM service department." I did just that. They wanted me out of there asap, by whatever means necessary.
    The temporary plug failed 500 yards away from The GM service center while in traffic. Another negative aspect of the situation was my treatment by your area manager to solve the problem which is a broken oil pan and engine damages. It was unacceptable for a professional business. The area manager didn't even see the damage first hand. He made a decision over the phone. Furthermore I was told to begin with that "all repairs would be covered" by Area Manager Derek ******* He told me "he was dealing with something that he didn't have time for this and to just send in the receipts."
    Meaning I would have to PAY for the repairs first!
    The vehicle was already taken to the GM service center where it died in a puddle of its own fluids in their service bay. Only to be called back 45 minutes later telling me "the cost for repair was too much and could have been done cheaper". There was no mentioning of possible engine damages due to running dry of oil due to their Temporary plug and overheating.
    or of the cost of a rental car as for the repair would take days to complete. The oil plug was the only concern. He had cussed at the GM service manager for the quote he received. As if it were a personal expense of his.
