My family hired Chris Bender LLC to build an ***. He came with big plans, big promises, and a lot of pride in his abilities. It started with him putting the foundation of the *** a couple of feet off what the plan called for. He tore up the yard and failed to fix it. We had an existing French drain system he cut to accommodate the new septic pipes. He promised it would be fixed, but he just hid it by burying it. He also had to cut the existing power lines to my workshop in my backyard. He dug up the lines, cut it and it laid on the ground for several months. He promised it would be reconnected properly then decided that he wasnt going to do it. He was supposed to spread the excavated dirt from the foundation to the rest of the yard but instead, he left in a big mound. When I asked him about grading it, he replied What about the hill bothers you? Its just a hill. Grass will grow on it The light fixture in the bathroom isnt even close to being centered, instead, it sits up against a wall. The color of the bathroom fixtures in the home does not match as if he just bought whatever he could on sale. Chris Bender says those are only for million-dollar homes. He picked out the refrigerators at Fergusons. After the installation, my parents told him the door doesnt open fully due to the adjacent wall. He told my elderly parents All they had to do to access the crisper is to pull the entire refrigerator out a few inches then they should be able to fully open the door.Currently, the roof has a leak, the gutter directs rainwater to the crawl space of the main house. The crawl space collects a foot of water after each rainstorm and many more We have held one final payment in hopes he will make it right by fixing the issues. Instead, he put a lien on my house and refuse to fix any deficiencies quoting he passed the inspection, so it is not his responsibility. We decided to write this review to warn anyone considering hiring him for a job.
