    on 9/5/24 I walked into these apartments looking for a place to stay. I inquired about a 3 bedroom and I was told that they had one available. I was then given a application and then was told that we had to apply and that I would have to pay $50 per adult and $150 for admin fee. Ok that is not a problem on 9/11/24 we had turned in our proof of income and our money order for $300.00. I was told that their company was being brought out and transitioning over so it may be a couple of days before we head which still was ok for me. The problem did not come until I was called on 9/20/24 and was asked to could I unfreeze all three of my credit reports that was a lil shaky to me I have never been asked to do that. I also want to point out that the application that we filled out is the same rental association application that our former landlord's used and we never had a problem getting approved. I also want to point out that the people that we are currently renting from we have never been late. I unfroze all of my credit reports on 9/13/24 and it was that following Friday that we where denied for credit. I have never heard if that. A credit pull was never ran because my credit file alerts me of any activity on my credit report because of my credit protection. A background check was never ran as well. When asked for documentation for the denial nothing. When I called to ask about a full refund nothing. They wont even answer the phone. I believe I was turned down because my family and I are black. I would like my money back they have not did anything therefore why keep my money. Also I seem to see in their comments that this is a common practice with them. That seems predatorial to me. I tracked the money order I purchased and it has not *** cashed so therefore I now they are sitting on the money if they where not going to process the application then why bother taking people money. That's kinda like Fraud and scamming.
