My kids have been attending this facility for years. As a military Family, even when we were relocated to another state or overseas, upon our return, we always went back to this facility for treatment. It was peculiar during this last return, my daughter was constantly being told she needed fillings. Every visit seemed to require a new filling. College Lakes Family Dentistry started disallowing Parents to accompany their children into the facility for treatment thus leaving the children as well as the Parents vulnerable to whatever diagnosis/treatment was allegedly found/required. Concerned about the continuous same diagnosis conveyed to me in the parking lot by the Office Manager (never the Dentist or a Hygienist) every single visit on top of the constant CoPays I was being required to pay, I contacted my ***************** for some insight. The insurance company also noticed the constant same diagnosis, same billing, but also brought to my attention the double billing by College Lakes Family Dentistry. At that point, I conferenced in College Lakes Family Dentistry with my insurance company still on the line. When the insurance company representative inquired with the Office Manager on the multiple same diagnoses, treatments, and double billing, the Office Manager explained they always charge double but then credit my account back once insurance settled the bill. I explained at that point that I have never received a credit from College Lakes Dentistry however have constantly paid CoPays. The Office Manager informed the insurance company during our conference call she would have my money refunded to me. Of course, at that point, I changed dentists for my children. I finally received a "refund check" in the mail that **************** stated was unable to be cashed as the numbers returned invalid. I provided that information to the Office Manager who stated she would contact their insurance company. Still, 6 months later, no refund. Please assist.
