      We had large fire in rental property on 3/5/24. We filed claim and were approved for $141K, insufficient to cover.We couldnt get insurance to revise estimate, so we hired Melo Property Claims on 4/4/24 to get insurance to pay sufficient funds. He reassured that he will get this done and his fees will be portion of the approved funds left after the house is fully repaired. Since our contract with **** on 4/4/2024, there were no actions taken from their side toward our repairs. We contacted ************ many times by phone and text and every time he gives us concrete assurances and soft spoken promises. His responses to us then started to be less frequent. We visited the house to see if his contractor has already started any work and found that the house was very neglected, thieves have broken in, and stole everything including the furnace, air-conditions, appliances,..etc I tried calling ************ to see where we are in the process and he did not respond. I texted him on 6/13/2024 asking if he is still working for us or not and asking him to honestly tell me if he is still able to help or let me find another way to save my investment.************ unfortunately chose to not even answer this message (2.5 months after our contract). At this point, we concluded that he is not working for us anymore or fulfilling his contractual obligations to obtain funds to fix the house.We therefore decided on 7/11/24 (98 days after contract) to move on and hire another contractor to work with the fund approved for us initially before his fraudulent help which basically did not give us anything but excessive delay and exposure to massive theft of a neglected house.Now, after we had our contractor started the work, ************ is sending us a bill of $21K and is threatening to send us for collection and to start a Lien process. So basically, he is asking for a portion of what we obtained from the insurance company prior to his involvement and without him providing any service to us.
