      1-Star Review: Poor Communication and Lack of Professionalism I applied for an auto loan through Truist and was told Id receive a response within 24 to 48 hours. Not only did I never get a response, but the representative I spoke with gave me her direct number and assured me I could reach her easily. I left four voicemails and two emails not a single reply within the promised timeframe.This isnt an isolated incident either. Over a year ago, I applied for a $4,000 personal loan and the exact same thing happened: no communication, no update, no courtesy follow-up. I had to physically go into the branch after a week just to find out the ********* be clear, this review isnt about being denied I fully understand that not all applications are approved. What bothers me is the complete lack of customer **********************, follow-through, and basic respect for my time. If a bank cant even let you know you were denied or keep their word about being available, it says a lot about how they treat customers.I wont be returning to ********************** for any financial needs, and I suggest others think twice before trusting them with theirs.

      They changed my mortgage payment without notifying me. Instead of applying my automatic payments to principal and escrow as agreed, they redirected them to "late fees" and this continued unnoticed until I saw a drop in my credit score.Additionally, their ***** robocall begins by demanding my Social Security number. I dont give that information to anyone who cant first verify their own identity. This behavior is unacceptable and untrustworthy.

      Service finance is a scam company they have just taken 2 recurring monthly payments from my account within a day of each other I've spent 2 weeks battling these people to get 1 payment back to which I had to send screen shots of my bank account after being told 2 weeks ago it was already being refunded ,these people not know what they are doing stay clear

      Terrible banking! We got stuck with Truist Bank because our mortgage was sold to them, along with others, by ****************. We saw all the terrible reviews, but we thought we would wait and see what happens with us.Our first payments to Truist started Novmber 1, 2024. We mailed our checks on time. In April 2025, we decided to start automatic recurring payments directly from our bank to Truist. Truist sent statements acknowledging payments on time for May and June. In July, however, we got a statement saying we missed July's payment and now *** a double payment for July and August!Mind you, our ******** statement says Truist was paid on time on July 7th! A payment is late after the 15th of each month.I call Customer ********************** at ********************** and speak to *******. She apologises and says there's a "glitch" in their system and erroneous statements are going out to their customers.I then ask ******* for a letter of explanation regarding my case. She says they are not issuing any. I ask for a corrected July statement. Same answer. So we're stuck with a bogus statement! Are they mad because they're not making any money on our 2.75% mortgage interest rate? How incompetent and/or corrupt can this bank be? We demand a written explanation and/or corrected July statement be sent to us!

      Truist is the worst. They prioritize cheap, offshore labor while bragging about profits. They once opened a credit card for me that I didnt want - I applied for a personal loan, and when that was denied, the teammate banker opened a credit card for me instead. When I told her I didnt want a new credit card, her response was ohwell Ive already done it, but it could be a good thing! They also charge fees if your savings account drops too low (and only give 0.01% interest). BB&T was a great bank that valued its employees - Truist is out to make a buck.

      I had a fraudulent withdrawal pending in my account. Once I saw it, I immediately contacted Truist and was told they could not do anything until it posted to the account. I was trying to be proactive as I knew this was going to send my account overdrawn. I contacted the company making the fraudulent withdrawal and, after seeing their error, they immediately posted the payment back - which is pending on my account with the same date as the withdrawal. I was then told by Truist that since I did not file a claim with them, which I was unable to do until it posted, they will not refund the overdraft fee. So they're basically getting money for nothing. Prior to the Truist takeover, I never had a problem with overdraft fees. This is very concerning, especially since I have 5 accounts with them. Apparently I need to find another bank.

      Worst financial institution *** ever worked with. Their staff is incompetent. Their automated systems dont recognize simple commands like fraud protection. I call Truist and type in my card number as prompted and they dont recognize it. I then try my social security number as prompted and they have to transfer me to a person because they dont recognize that either. Ive had to get two different cards mailed from them and they messed up the address each time. It has taken me 30+ days to get each card.

      I have tried to call Truist 20 times to get my account number for my auto loan so that I can login to my account at ************************** but I have never been able to get my account number. I have tried every option in their automated phone tree and still havent received my account number. ********************** has no customer ********************** email address or any other way to contact them except their phone number which leads nowhere. I dont want to be negative, but it feels like Truist is doing this intentionally so that I cant get my account number to **********************.

      I received an email stating that my email address had added an 'alert' from Truist. I didn't notice this email for 3 weeks but when I did I called phone number on email address. I am not a Truist customer. The agent stated that if I didn't want to give my SSN, I could only resolve this issue by going into a local ************** none near me; I wasn't going to give him my SSN. Agent advised I contact phone number on Truist website, which I did, after verifying Truist was valid financial institution. ********** agent (website agent verified that I was not an actual client, and he would elevate my concern to an investigation team. After asking for verification that a ticket was indeed generated on my behalf, indicating date, time and details, the agent stated that while I could make such a request it may not be acted upon. I indicated to the Agent the very valid reasons for ticket follow-through, that I would have them for my personal sense of **************** in the event an individual(s) attempted to perpetrated the same or similar scheme at Truist (or anywhere else), Agent indicated that he could understand, but it may not have an impact upon the investigations team. Finally I insisted that the Agent impress upon the investigations team my deep sense of personal security being at risk, desiring a follow-through on ticket generation to me to ensure that Truist had taken my security as seriously as they would their own, had this happened to any one of them. Ultimately, the Agent stated he would attempt to convey this. However, I did have the very distinct sense that I may be foibled, as a personal ***************** of sensitive data, that my concerns were not taken as seriously as they should have been, that I was merely given lip service, and despite the fact I am not (nor will I ever be) a Truist client, I had just been on the lowest tier of customer ********************** ever known to mankind, bar none.
