    I am seeking a refund of funds paid to a home improvement contractor for a project that was never started.I paid a $2,500 deposit on 01/20/2022 to ******************************* of Windisch Construction for a bathroom remodel at my home. Windisch provided a written bid, and verbally agreed to begin the project in February 2022 and complete it in March 2022. After months of apologies and excuses, the project was never started. I requested my money back on 12/05/2022 via text message, after which Windisch ceased all communication entirely. I subsequently sent a formal letter (via **** certified mail) demanding a full refund within 10 days. Windisch received the letter on 12/10/2022, confirmed by **** receipt signature. No response nor refund was provided.Attached to this complaint is a detailed chronology of events. Below is a list of the most important events.01/20/22: ***** provides partial payment ($2,500) via check; Windisch verbally establishes timeline of February 2022 start date and March 2022 completion date. Both parties text back-and-forth until 02/16/22, when Windisch stops communicating for two months.04/20/22: ***** sends multiple text messages between 04/20/22-05/02/22.05/02/22: Windisch sends long text message containing apology and explanation; proposes phone call for the following week.05/13/22: Windisch verbally agrees to start project in June or July 2022, yet provides no other communication for next four months.06/06/22: ***** sends multiple texts between 06/06/22-09/20/22, with no response.10/05/22: Windisch verbally agrees to start project mid-November 2022, yet provides no other communication for next two months.11/04/22: ***** sends multiple texts between 11/04/22-12/05/22.12/05/22: Windisch texts a long explanation. ***** requests refund via text message. Windisch stops communicating.12/08/22: ***** sends formal letter (via **** certified mail) demanding full refund within 10 days. Windisch receives letter, confirmed by **** receipt signature.
