I own a car dealership & I hired Billy's to do some frame & body repairs on two vehicles for me. The first was a white Subaru Ascent. Instead of contacting me with a quote he emailed one of my employees who orders parts, not approves repairs. He quoted $8000 to fix the whole car. She said she would let me know, but did not give the go ahead. They ended up proceeding with the repairs anyway but in the mean time we had chose to go a different direction with the car due to the issues and cost. When we called about the vehicle we discovered he had already worked on it, but it was not completed. So we decided to continue in another direction and pick up the vehicle. I sent someone else to pick it up and they ended up giving Billys the 8k they requested because they weren't aware of the situation. At this point I had the opportunity to view the car at our shop and saw that the frame work they did do was done with no safety in mind. They did not follow any standard operating procedures for body shops & spray painted & used bondo on the frame & the measurements came back off. I went to the shop to talk to Billy himself, he admitted to using spray paint but claimed he was a pro and it was good work. Basically took no responsibility and tried to gaslight me into thinking that I didn't know what I was talking about. Despite the fact that their email said the 8k was for all the repairs he claimed it was only for frame, but even if I had agreed to that (which I didn't) the frame work was not complete. Part of the engine was resting on the frame and there was a door that when closed you could see light through the pillar. He told me he would get back to me after talking to his wife to see if they could refund me anything but never did. The other vehicle they did a very deceptive repair on was a blue Forester. There was an issue with the washer reservoir & instead of fixing it they just took the reservoir out. Deceptive, unprofessional, unsafe.

********* is the person that was handling/whom we were to contact (on both jobs). She clearly asked how much and we responded with the amount which was just for the frame repair. ********* continually asked us for the parts list (after the price was quoted) and dropped them off to us. They also had dropped off a clip of another Subaru Accent for the parts car. Seems odd to me if we did not have approval to do the job why you would be getting us the parts and calling us to make sure we had everything we needed. We even have a message left on one of worker's phone by **** (the owner of Aspen Motor Company) telling us he will get the part we were waiting on so we could get this vehicle done and back to him. That alone clearly states we were to be working on the vehicle. We would never proceed with repairs if we were told they were going a different route because the repairs were to high! We called **** ***** to let her know the vehicle was done and the cost of the repairs and here response was I will let **** know. **** came in the office to pick up and pay for the repairs done (even signed the invoice). He then was shocked at the price as no one had communicated with him. This is clearly a miscommunication in their office NOT ours. We were NEVER told to not work on the vehicle! **** ***** knew the vehicle was done and was sending her husband in to  pay and pick it up... not sending someone to pick it up because they did not want the repairs done... WE DO NOT OPERATE OUR BUSINESS that way! The first vehicle we did, the Forester, was not a deceptive repair and if they felt that way, why would you be bringing another one to us? It never had a washer reservoir in it so we did not take it out. We told them they needed one and we were told they would get the part and put it in theirselves. On both vehicle repairs, if there was any issues that we need to correct or are dissatisfied with, we are more than happy to correct them. **** ***** did come into the office to discuss and demand money back while she was calling us liars and claiming we were not *********s.

I took my car to this shop for repair because they offered financing. I signed papers for it. I paid on it according to the contract. Then I went today to pay him $250 to get my keys. His wife told me this on the phone. He told me I owed $1500. That's not the information I was given.
