The worst experience I have ever had in my life.

I dropped my truck off to this shop on Wednesday, August 23rd. I was talking to their receptionist *****, who informed me that, "their shop was going to get the work done faster than any other shops in the area."

Quinn then got fired on September 1st. I believe he got fired because he tried to steal 400$ cash from me by trying to get me to pay a fake deductible that he made up. He told me I was going to have to cover 350-400$ out of pocket because my warranty company wasn't going to cover the "entire," bill. After calling my warranty company, Assurance, we got into an argument about the random fee because they had no idea what it was about. Then, next day I texted ***** t to get an update on my truck, and he let me know he got fired. This is now almost 2 weeks without having a car nor an update on what they were going to do to my truck.

I tried to talk to the company about how their employee tried to steal 400$ from me and they had nothing to say about it. I feel as though if he tried to do it to me, that I am not the first person he tried to scam. Therefore, for the sake of other customers I would like that to get looked into.

After waiting the entire time, I just picked my truck up yesterday and it had 70 more miles than it got dropped off with. But, the cherry on top is while I was driving it around today, my transmission started slipping and squeaking again.

I was willing to let go with my horrible time with this endeavor if the work was going to be effective. However, now that the work they performed is already faltering LESS THAN 24 HOURS since I picked up my truck, I feel as though I have been robbed of my time, money, and energy.

I paid over 4200 dollars to Cottman transmission in Independence on 23rd St and Noland rd. Missouri to solely have my transmission fixed. Nothing else. I have receipts to prove it. They claimed further work was needed on the vehicle that I know for a fact wasn't needed prior. It prolonged getting my car back. They couldn't remember me each time I followed up because they failed to do so. When I confronted
them about the exterior body damage to the car, burnt cigarettes in my console, (mind you I can't breathe around cigarettes), molded food in my back seat, (I don't eat in my car), and a oil container that was left inside and spilled over damaging my carpet they told me I would be contacted by the district manager. Over a week went by and I didn't hear back. So I called them. Again they didn't remember me. They told me I'd hear from him, again, and so I waited another two day before he finally called late after business hours. I tried to professionally explain the situation but he kept talking over me and got verbally violent making death threats claiming he was going to hunt me down and confront me personally after asking me where I lived. Very concerning behavior for a district manager or anyone for that matter. He went on to say if I tried coming back to the shop he'd call the police and that the warranty they have with me on the transmission work didn't matter anymore which is still valid by contract. At this point I just hung up and called my attorney. I seriously do not recommend anyone get work done by them. The work that was performed was bad. The transmission leaks and other components on the vehicle are broken that weren't broken before. They can't keep employees and there's a new office manager every other month. I highly recommend this company be investigated or something. It's bad for the community and people's safety. I hope this complaint finds you well.

    Thank you

HE PAID $4200 TO HAVE TRANSMISSION FIXED- Cottman rebuilt transmission,

Consumer came back concerned about a transmission leak- leak was fixed

Wheel bearings were damaged- not something that can be damaged by a mechanic

prolonged return of car- no funds available, he was told he could pick up the car when he had the funds to pay his bill

Exterior body damage- body exterior was cracked upon arrival of car, The car was worked on from the underneath not the top/side of the body

Burned cigarettes in console- unknown to manager, mechanic stated they seemed old, but could not confirm or deny when these were left in the car

Moldy food in back seat- There was a lunch in the back seat, but not moldy, mechanic left sick, so manager took the food out.

Oil spilled in the back seat and ruined carpet- No spills were made, Car is a 95, so it is not in great condition.

Threats and harassment were made- Not true, these were threats to the manager and mechanic, and staff, made harassing phone calls, sent over 45 messages one day. A text was sent to the complainant not to return to the company due to his behaviors, and threats.

AAMCO Transmission work is guaranteed- He can utilize the warranty in another service area. Just don't use the two in this managers area.
