    We were looking for someone to tear down and rebuild our deck. We chose to use premium Trex brand decking and premium Trex railing. We hired ******* Decking because he was listed as a Trex Pro on the Trex website. We were told by ****** ******* that he prided himself in building a level deck to accommodate the Trex decking and railing. In one area (see attached picture), the deck is not level causing water pooling after it rains, deck furniture wobbles, and the railing was not straight. I understand new lumber twists and bends as it dries. I pointed out the fact that some of the 2 by 12 joists were not installed crown side up (the correct way) which was causing the issues. ****** ******* acknowledged that a couple of joists needed to be replaced. I told him that I will share the cost to correct the issues. The job was completed on 12/7/23. We paid him $41,733. We told him we were in no hurry and asked to be kept informed of his return. We were told he would be here in May 2024, then November, then January 2025. It is now the end of July 2025. We started leaving messages on his phone in Feb 2024, texts, and emails with no response from ******* Deck. We feel the joist installation was just an oversight, and we still have confidence in his ability to correct the issues.
