So I took my truck there for a fluid change and a couple other odds and ends. Theyre local and recommended by a few people so I wanted to support a small business and well, I had two bolts for my MAF sensor missing that needed put back. TWO BOLTS cost me $132, first flag. An actual shop should have the knowledge to find a missing $20 bolt, not the $132 service charge. They had to take the intake off to take it to another place to find bolts. Next I had them install some led fog light pods and new bezels around and asked to wire into factory switch. They called to ask about ordering a missing bracket so I gave the go ahead, never mentioned any other piece missing. $388 is absurd for this job and honestly think I couldve welded better with my left foot while upside down in a tornado. I had a light actually come off on the drive due to being loose. They even admitted to the terrible work and now that Im 12hrs away for work reasons Im unable to go back(not like I would anyways). The company up here can actually do the work for $900 but they will have to order all new brackets as these welded ones will not be reusable. I tried to resolve this privately but obviously not getting anywhere. Also it will not let me upload the photos of their service so if you want to email me I can send them that way. You will see the photos and immediately know what Im talking about.

    Business Response

Mike's Tire & Service would like to address the recent complaint submitted by *************** regarding his experience with their services.  Our team sincerely apologizes for any frustration and inconvenience he encountered during his visit.  Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we appreciate feedback as it helps improve our services.

Our team understands Mr. ******* concerns about the charges associated with the work performed on his truck, particularly regarding the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and the fog light installation.  We would like to clarify a few points to provide a better understanding of the situation:

    1. MAF Sensor Bolts:  The charge of $132 was not solely for the bolts but included both parts and labor.  The team had to disassemble the intake system, which was temporarily held together with zip tie, to locate the correct bolts and ensure everything was properly reassembled.  They strive to provide thorough and quality service, and this process was necessary to maintain the integrity of the vehicle.

    2. Fog Light Installation:  The total charge for the fog light and switch installation was $330, which included parts and labor.  The team appreciates Mr. ******* understanding that custom installations can sometimes involve additional complexities, and they aim to be transparent about their pricing.

    3. Total Service Cost:  The total bill for all services rendered was $1,115.89, which encompassed multiple tasks, including an oil change, tire mounting and balancing, door handle replacement, rear driveshaft inspection, and more.   The team believes this comprehensive service justifies the total cost.

Mike's Tire & Service hopes to resolve this matter and restore Mr. ******* confidence in our services.  We would like to invite Mr. ***** to reach out directly at ************ to discuss this further.
