On Friday, Nov. 29th, 2024, ***** ******* with CW Pump came to our house at ********************************************************************************** to look at our septic system which failed inspection upon us purchasing the house earlier in the month. He stated what needed to occur and would be in touch the following week. At that point I paid a $225 estimate fee which he had said was non-refundable. I heard nothing for the next 3 weeks. I then texted on December 16th and he stated he would get be something by the following week. He then sent me an estimate on the 17th. I called the county to make sure what we would doing would pass inspection. I then gave the permission to move forward with repairs on Dec. 19th with a couple of questions that were related to the project. I heard nothing, so I sent a follow up on Dec. 23rd and heard nothing again. I followed up by text on Jan. 15th and then an email again on January 18th. I finally got a response saying he would follow up on Monday the 20th. I heard nothing. I sent another message on Monday, January 25th and heard nothing again and then a final message on January 30th stating I was moving on as it had been over two months and was not getting my issue resolved and that I would like a refund of the estimate. He then promptly replied stating no refunds.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/19/2025

We were called to do an inspection on a septic tank and told him it would be $225.  I had a tech go out, told him what was wrong with it and collected the money.  He said he tried to contact us several times and was asking us where we were getting our parts and what the cost would be and I told him that I wasn't going to tell him where we got our parts.  He didn't call for a while and we assumed he got someone else.  We got paid for the job we did for him.  I told him there would be no refunds for work that was already done.

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

As originally stated I made numerous attempts to schedule work 3 text and 2 emails. I never asked where he sourced the part, I asked for brand of part. Further, the tech even responded that he had personal issues and apologized for not responding and he would get with me on Monday. I never heard and sent two more text and still heard which is when I decided to move on because no response. No contract was signed regarding a non-refundable payment either. If this is not resolved promptly we will head to small claims court.

    Sincerely,
