    I bought a 2019 289D TAW11941 Skid from ****** ******* on 01/15/2025 and I picked it up 02/06/2025 This differed from the inspection It said all compartments had ****** done, cab or canopy had 3 green dots, door latches/hinges/seals 3 green dots, Hydraulic system 3 green dots and filter was cut, ( I had the oil sample sent to me), right and left final drives had 3 green dots and said magnetic plug removed and checked ( asked for the oil samples but never got a response)What was different when I picked it up, the 2019 289D. The cab had a pink can of marker paint that had blown up behind the seat. when I changed the hydraulic filter the oil was dark. When I drained the hydraulic oil it had visible debris in it. So I saved enough oil to send in an oil sample. It came back with visible debris in it and some water detected. Ipulled the hydraulic tank and screen and flushed and cleaned the system. When I pulled the left final drain plug it was black and was burnt and stunk up my shop. The right side final was also black and burnt. I saved the oils to send in samples. . The left final came back with high iron and burnt oil. You can see the****** under the TAW11941 serial number. I filled and flushed both finals 3 times to clean them up as best I could. I sent ****** pictures and copies of the ****** and asked for compensation because the price of the 289D is based off the inspection. He told me that the machine is as is. With an inspection done it needs to be as the inspection states. I had asked if it could be washed inside and out before I picked it up, It didnt get washed..I also called and talked to ***** on March 12, 2025 and let him know about my concerns. He was going to let the maintenance manager know. I have not heard back from anyone.I would like to be compensated for what the difference in price would have been based on an inspection with burnt oil and the spray paint, especially since the oil samples were not done as stated.

    ****** ******* no longer is employed with Ziegler Inc. 

    I followed up with **** ***** who has been in communication with Mr. ***** ***********. They both mutually agreed upon a ******* refund back in mid-June. They were not able to reconnect to figure our payment solutions. **** was able to connect with ***** on 7-28-2025 to verify if he had received our check. He stated he did, but did not have a chance to close out the claim with the BBB. ***** *********** stated he will try to close it our within the next few days from the date of 7-28-2025.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. **** ***** is great to work with.  Ziegler Cat came right to the plate as the salesman I was working with just dropped the ball .   This is how a great Caterpillar Dealership works,  I would be happy to do business with Ziegler Cat again. As soon as Ziegler Cat found out about the problem they started taking care of  it .
