    Business Response

    Date: 10/14/2022

***************************** of ******** Deck Doctors signed agreements for our monthly advertising services in May 2020 - August 2020, for a total of $19,050. We designed, printed, and mailed all of the advertisements per the signed agreement. Despite being sent monthly invoices, **** only paid for his first months (May 2020) advertising in the amount of $3000. When our collections department contacted **** in 2020 to collect payment for the remainder of the advertising services (June-August 2020), he did not dispute that we had mailed his advertisements. The client refused to pay and stopped responding to our team. Therefore, the account was sent to small claims court. **** never disputed or responded in court, and we were awarded a judgement for $16,050.

In 2021, our attorney attempted to collect the judgement and discovered ******** Deck Doctors has been dissolved and there was a new business at that address. We have not been able to collect any of the $16,050 judgement.

On August 23, 2022, the same collections team member made a phone call to another business, ******* Epoxy Doctors, who advertises with us in our ******* publications with a past due balance of $7279.80. When they called the number for ******* Epoxy Doctors, the voicemail recording identified itself as ******** Deck Doctors. A message was left requesting payment for the ******* account. Very similar to what happened in ********, **** paid for the first month of advertising (March 2022) but has not made a payment for the remainder of the agreed upon advertising (April-June 2022). The client has not responded to our collection teams voicemail on August 23, 2022. We believe this BBB complaint, filed a week later on August 31, 2022, is in retaliation for our collection attempts.
