    I took my car to the shop on Monday August 11, 2025 after calling to see if I could have the car looked at. The owner, *** had said both over the phone and at the shop that he would look at it the following after noon (August 12, 2025). I did not receive a phone call from them until Thursday, August 14, 2025. The phone call was hosted by ***, who said they had fixed the rear brakes, replaced the rotors, and replaced a caliper. I did not authorize any of these repairs. When I picked up the car, the brake petal had to touch the ground in order for the brakes to activate (unable to hard brake), as well as my check engine light was on and there was no power to my blinker or radio. After speaking with *** again over the phone, she informed me that my car had "issues" while it was there, which I was not notified about until after I made the complaint. On Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:26 am, *** said via a phone call that they would refund me the money and that ** would process it on Monday, August 18, 2025. Today, September 2, 2025, I called again because I had not received a refund, nor had I heard from them about it. I was told by ** that the only way they could process the refund is if I brought the car to them so they could prove there was an issue with it. I had already had work done on the car to make it safe to drive, as it was not safe to do so after A&E Service had done the unauthorized repair.
