5 starsI can't say enough good things about this company. We have had 5 different companies out to work on our boiler over the past 25 years and for the first time since I can remember, the boiler and all of the zones work properly. Thank you mastercraft for sending someone with the experience and knowledge we have struggled to find.Review fromJudy

1 starI signed a contract for 2 pre paid Maintenence visits per year. One furnace cleaning and tune up and one for a/c cleaning and tune up. I do not feel they did a cleaning and tune up on my a/c. The only thing the person did was tell me I had my filter in the wrong direction and tell me I was low on freon. And kept repeating that my unit is old, 14 years. And that to add freon it would be $250 a gallon and I would need 2 gallons. And if I spent $500 on freon, there is no guarantee that I wouldn't need a new unit by next year since my unit was old. I understand that. But my question is what was he suppose to clean and check?? He didn't clean anything on the unit.! I think it was a rip off! I'm a senior citizen who lives on a limited income and felt basically pressured to either get the freon or a new unit. I Paid $198 for this " Maintenance". I did contact the company and asked them if they could possibly return half of my money because I have no intention of having them comeback to do another "cleaning and tune up" solely because they didn't do anything the first time!!! I don't know if this is a legitimate complaint but I think isReview fromOdell H

Mastercraft lied about how much I was going to be paying a month. They said it was going to be $50-$60 a month but now it is $126 a month. In addition to that they didn't tell me how long the warrenty for the air conditioning and furance were going to be but they still charged me for it. When I do pay them, they are sometimes taking 2 payments in just one month. I am upset that they lied about the cost of fixing both units.Mastercraft Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical

1 starI had this company come out to replace a boiler and plumbing leaks in the kitchen the crew came out and had so many excuses for each issue it was in the contract to fix however they took my money and over bid the job without satisfactory results. Now I'm trying to get them to order the final inspection and I keep getting excuses... please save yourself and do not use this company...Review fromP. C.

Last august mastercraft heating and cooling came to fix my air. They informed me they were fixing my air conditioner with ****** authorized part. They usually came out twice a year to check my air and Furnance. They were out in June and said everything was in working order. July 25 it was not working 6 weeks later. I called the manufacture and was told all parts were covered under warranty. I paid for part and service, The manufacture informed me they needed to complete a form to get the money back for me. When he came out today to service my air it turned out it was not an authorized ****** part and could not provide me with the needed part. On my receipt there was no warranty information. I only run my air when it is 90 degrees or higher so little use. An inferior part was put in and did not last possibly defective. When I tried to discuss it calmly with the owner he hung up on me.Mastercraft Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical

1st of all, I did not hang up.. (never would do that). 2nd, as I told ************* multiple times, the system is under warranty through the installing contractor (Which we are NOT). The major parts are under warranty through anyone, but a contactor is an accessory and is a generic part that comes with a 90 day warranty when we replaced in approximately 1 year ago (which I told her over the phone before we even came out). As we are NOT the installing contractor, There is a service charge, labor charge & charge for the contactor- This was all told to ************* before we even scheduled the call and I told ************* that if she called the installing company, there is a chance they would cover it under warranty- her response was "I dont want those people in my house." Again, to recap, it was made abundantly clear to ************* that a contactor is a generic accessory on an air conditioner that we did NOT install & there would be a charge to come out & repair (because she didn't want to use the installing contractor anymore). ************* then kicked our technician out of her house for trying to charge her (without paying the service fee) & called the office threatening that if we did not replace the part for free, she would write bad reviews online & to the BBB. Thank you, ****** ********OwnerP. C.

I told him I was going to contact you for assistance. I feel he should reimburse me for both parts, and some labor, because the part was warranted by the manufacture, and would have been free. I paid him to replace it and he did not provide an authorized part as I was told, and only had 90 day warranty instead of the one year the authorized part would provide. I did not get the one year warranty in writing since I knew that was standard from the manufacture. As a result the part in the air conditioner was not an authorized part. I had an authorized dealer out, there was no authorized part to turn in , the warranty was not honored, because I now had a non authorized manufactured part in the unit, nothing to turn into the manufacture.. I cannot get reimbursed for either part, according to the manufacture, since now I do not have a authorized manufacture part to turn in. . As a result. I feel if he had put in a factory authorized part then it still would have been working and I would have only needed to pay for one service call instead of two. nor pay for any parts.Yes he did hang up on me, he refused to discuss the problem. He stated "the major parts are under warranty through anyone." The contactor is a major part according to the manufacture, without it the unit would not run, it is also covered under the warranty. The manufacture could reimburse me if he filled out the prior paper work.I will give you the history of my contacts with Mastercraft heating and cooling. I have used them for several years, they never said they couldn't put factory authorized parts in my units. August 2021 my air conditioner was making noises and I called them for service. I was told they put a factory authorized contactor in my unit, that being the case it had a one year warranty.. At that time I did not know it still was under warranty so I paid for the part and to have it installed. On 6/4/2022 one of the serviceman came out to do routine maintenance had recommended to add/, install a hard start kit, which was an accessory and not part of the unit , he did not have the part and came back on 6/11/2022 to put it in. I paid for the hard start kit and installation., . At that time he did not see any problems with my unit. On 7/26/2022 the unit was making noise again. I called them to come out and check to see what was wrong with the unit, perhaps the hard start was defective? I was aware that the hard start kit was not part of the unit and I put in at my expense, it was around 6 weeks since they installed the hard start kit, they needed to come out and check it out, to see if that was the problem.. I was told by ****** that the company only carries Factory Authorized parts. The company has been out several time, was aware of my unit brand and age.I called the manufacturer to discuss the unit and my problem I was having, since the contactor part they installed was in less than a year. When I spoke to them they informed me my unit was under warranty and the part was covered, any parts they put in are warrantied for a year. She told me all I needed to do was have Mastercraft submit the proper form and they would reimburse me for the cost of the part. I called to speak with the owner, he was not in and I informed ****** it was urgent I speak with him, before his repair person came. Meanwhile I still had an appointment with a service person from his company . As he said "The major parts are under warranty through anyone, a contactor is an accessory and is a generic part, when we replaced it approximately 1 year ago". According to the manufacture the contactor is a necessary part to make the air conditioner work, without the part it would not work and the part is under warranty. According to the manufacture a warranty for the part is good no matter who installs it. For example, Mechanics who are not dealers go get parts from dealers to fix cars, if that was not the case then the small car repair places would not exist. I was told a factory authorized part was put in and he had the correct part. A service truck pulled up on my drive, on the truck was the name Airtronic, I did not call them for service, I called Mastercraft. He told me he was sent instead of them. Since he was all ready at my condo he agreed to check out the hard start kit and let me know if it was ok. He went around the back and he never came into my condo. I was told it came with a 90 day warranty. I had informed him that I needed to talk to the owner and only wanted factory authorized part, The serviceman called someone and would not allow me to talk to that person. A few hours later the owner finally called me back. He did not explain why I was told the part was a manufactured authorized part by the installer on 8/21 and his office staff ****** 0n 7/26/22 I called an authorized ****** dealer and they came out the next day. I was informed the contactor was bad and since the part in the unit was not an authorized part they would not warranty it. Now I needed to pay for the part Mastercraft installed and the one ****** dealer put in. The ****** part has a one year warranty. He is misinformed, the part is essential for the air conditioner to work and is a warrantied part per manufacturer I am not threaten him, I just said I was going to share the facts of my experience with the BBB and other people.
