July 8, I rented a mobility scooter from the ************ store for one week. July 9 we took the ferry to *************** and the batteries on the scooter lasted for about ****************************************************** I went to a dock and asked to plug in to an outlet there. I recharged it for about an hour. I made it all the way to the *********** when the scooter went dead a second time. We had to beg the door-person at the hotel to let me in to recharge the scooter again. Charged for an hour and almost made it back to the ferry. We had to push it the rest of the way. (And yes, I did charge the scooter the night before) I again charged the scooter overnight before we went to ***********. There the scooter lasted for about 30 minutes before recharging at a food concession. I then made it to the State Park restrooms and sat for another hour recharging while the rest of the family went out to the lighthouse. Then recharged again when stopping for ice cream. Didn't quite make it back to the car so our son walked the rest of the way to his car and came and picked me up. Not wanting to try it again we returned the scooter a day early. I drove it into their store with the low battery warning beeping, as it did on most of our trips. The staff member at the store offered their apologies and said they would do something for me because of the inconvenience. A week later having not heard from them I called the store again. My call was transferred and them I was told they were only refunding my deposit. They tested the scooter and could find nothing wrong with it. They said they charged it then drove it down the block and it worked fine. That was the biggest loss of $175.00 I have ever made. I would never consider using Clock Mobility again.
