    I would give a zero star because the supervisor hung up on me. I was lied to by one of the staff and they don't take into account that people forget things when they are dealing with a lot and forget to change a card on the auto payment system after their card was hacked an had to get a new card. They also don't give you a chance to fix the problem before automatically adding a late fee when their office is closed. They don't even do the auto payment till after they are closed just so they can charge you the late fee right off the back. I don't think they should be able to do that to customers.

    Called to check last day to pay as I have to stretch paycheck to paycheck told I was in default and that my water was due to be turned off was never given notice as required, asked for 2 days to pay told no an extra $100 dollar fee for auto pay failure, I was told but I don't have auto pay, tried explaining they canceled it for me 2 months ago, no not possible according to employee. Extremely rude from the very beginning of the conversation after waiting 30 minutes to talk to someone. Oh and autopay failing is supposed to be 50$ so how did it end up 100 when I don't even have auto pay.

    Universal utilities has some very rude people that answer their phone; one in particular hung up on me twice because I asked her to please send me an itemized bill for an amount that was ridiculously excessive compared to their monthly rates. Id caution anyone to avoid doing business with this company by any means.

    This company is horrible, they will submit double payment without refunding the amount they took. They have a website that only seems to work in their favor. If you reload a page it double charges. It will say you've made a payment, not process it and then tack on 100 shut off fee, with zero give. They overcharge. I live in a large community, not 1 person has had great experience with them. Not 1.

    They tell you that they are going to charge you a **** fee unless you sign up for auto pay or mail in your payments. So I signed up for auto pay. Then they said I had insufficient funds in my bank account and could not collect payment charged me a late fee of *****. My bill was under 50 to begin with. So then I also had to pay the **** charge to use my debt card. I have bounce protection at my bank,so if they were to take out the money and it wasn't in there they still would get there money and I would have to pay the bank a bounce charge. I didn't have to pay a bounce charge at my bank so that shows me they didn't try to take the money. Then I called them and asked them what was going on because my account online was diffrent from the statement they sent me. They said everything was OK. I said how much do I owe you for next month and they said ****. I asked how that was they couldn't give me a definitive answer. So now this is the 3rd month with them and I get my bill it says I'm enrolled in autopay my bill was due today and they never tried to take the money. I had to delete my autopay and pay with my debt card plus the extra **** fee. I just know if I wouldn't of done this they would of tried to make me pay a late fee and say they tried to take the money and I had insufficient funds again. In short they are SCAMMERS and since I live in a mobile home community I'm forced to have them as my water company. As soon as I can afford it I'm moving out.

    Terrible business that over charges me on a consistent monthly basis. My water bill is 150$ fir 1 month and I havent even been home for 2 weeks this month which means my water usage is minimal but my bill is still triple what it should cost me for 1 month of service.

    I couldn't put a zero star or I would have. I have been charged 100 dollar shut off and had my water turned off twice this month alone. Then they charge anther 15 dollars to process my payment. My bill has gone up 4x the normal amount since they took over. Basically tell me they are going to hang up and leave my water off if I want to complain. And there shut off notice threatens to report to the health department if you don't pay within 3 days. Horrible co.pany.

    I give this a zero star rating. This company should be shut down. Its criminal with how they charge ridiculous random expensive fees due to their negligence. They need to be investigated with a lot of fraudulent activity occurring there. I had spoken to a representative the first time I ever called and set up an autopay account and then after a month later I received an emailing saying they rejected my autopay and never followed up to confirm and randomly charged $50 fee plus another random $100 for no reason indicated. This company is a scam and when you try to call youre put on hold for over an hour and no one ever picks up. Tried calling for over a month now and could never get a worker to speak with. This is due to their negligence they should be calling customers by phone if they have an issue with their phone service and payments. They need to be shut down for billing fraud.

    Absolutely terrible customer service. I never received a bill in the mail. And never received a shut off notice. Obviously I know I have a water bill due. But I should still get a date of when its due, or at least a notice if Im late. Ive been laughed at, and mocked when I ask them why they have a 1 star rating. Im sure theyd have a 0 star rating if it was possible. These people pride themselves on only taking your money, and being absolutely zero help. I was charged a $100 shut off fee. Yet last time it happened there was no charge. These people charge you what they want at will. My only assumption is our park (Camelot village) owner must have ties with the owner of this business, which becomes a conflict of interest. It is hard to understand why a company that is rated so poorly, so unprofessional is being used. This place should be closed, scammers.

    I just called at 9:21 central time about fraud on tampering I had a supposedly spoke to a manager. Hang up on me after mentioning the BBB. The lady admitted that Universal utilities sends out a shut off notice with every NEW bill whether the bill is paid or not.
