I booked a campsite here for a group of friends and I on 4/28/23. We booked the site for 7/14/23 - 7/18/23. The price was $160 per person. Upon arriving to the campground and getting to our booked site on sites 4A, 4B and 4C it was apparent that the river was recently up on higher ground due to recent flash floods. Our portapotty was teetering on a sandpile and we had to push it back into place on our own. The amount of portapotties was not adequate for the amount of people staying on the site, we had 14 people and there were other groups around us as well all using the 1 bathroom. After about 10 hours the owner visited our site with a consent form in hand for us to sign. He informed us that earlier on in the week the whole campground was under water due to recent flash floods and one of their portapotties up river from us had spilt over into the river. The *** and some other organizations paid a visit to the campground and allowed them to remain open if they paid a fine and gave campers 2 options. Options #1 was to sign the form and agree that we won't *** them if any of us get sick from the human waste that is in the water and probably elsewhere on the property. Option #2 was to refuse to sign the form and receive a refund upon leaving if we weren't comfortable staying for the duration of our reservation. 2 people signed the form and the other 12 people on our site refused to sign. We all left the following morning and were promised by the owner ******* a refund for the days we did not stay. We left the morning of 7/15/23 and should have received a refund for 3 nights that we did not stay. Since then he has avoided all our phone calls and IF he does answer, tells us to call back in 30 minutes or the next day or some other method of pushing it back further and further avoiding paying out refunds. We were also told the price of a truckbed full of wood would be $140. They waited till it was getting dark to show up with the wood and changed the price to $160.
