My truck suffered body damage and needed the cab swapped. Diamond diesel offered to do the work. The **************** overall worked after the wreck, the only issue was the top of the cab was smashed where it meets the windshield. After going to diamond diesel, the truck no longer works, parts are missing and swapped with old, random parts he had sitting around. Now the truck doesnt run at all. The transmission, power steering pump, and brake booster are all locked up and broken. The power windows no longer work. The brand new batteries I had in it are missing and replaced with old ones. Both the interior and exterior of the truck are thrown together and i do not know the entirety of the extensive damage he has caused. I paid $1500 for the new cab. And $3000 for labor. But was given a truck that is more ruined than before it went to his shop. He has been pulling parts off of my truck and using them in other trucks to get them ready to sell on *********

    Business Response

    In response to this complaint.

We had this truck towed into our shop for free at no cost to the customer. We made it very aware to the customer that this was an extremely big job and that we could not gurantee everything to work as it had before and the customer clearly understood these circumstances.  We also bought a cab for the customer and picked it up for free from ********** and did not charge him a dime for picking it up.

As the job proceeded we notified the customer of numorus issues the vehicle had from poor maintenance and lack of care such as the front pump seal leaking on the transmission causing it to not be able to move it into the shop under its own power. The customer asked us to quote him for doing a transmission. We gave him a quote and he told us he could not afford to do the work and to just proceed along with the original job. We had found numorous other issues wrong with the truck from the accident and prior issues before the accidnet that the customer could not afford to fix when we notified him of the issues. We put the truck back together the best that we could under the fixed budget circumstances we were under. After completition of the job the vehcile sat here for 6 months with no charge for storage as the customer tried to gather funds to pay us for completing the job. Once funds were gathered the customer came and inspected the vehicle and said that a rear floor mat was missing and a switch on the dash. We agreed to not charge him for a door that was originally agreed to have paid $250 for the door for the missing mat and switch. He then asked us to tow the vehicle to a field where he said he was going to save money and bring the truck back to fix the numorous issues the truck had such as the transmission, exhaust manifolds, head gaskets, and injectors. We towed the truck there and did not charge him anything for a tow bill once again. 2 months later i witnessed the truck at another shop having numerous parts taken off of it for other vehicles in that said shop.
