I am filing this complaint regarding a commercial printer that failed to meet basic performance standards expected in the market. Since installation, the equipment has had persistent issues that severely disrupted our daily operations and caused repeated ********* a result, we were unable to fully utilize the service and requested a return. Despite the printers clear failure to meet quality expectationsand no damage caused on our partthe company is now requesting a settlement. We do not believe this is fair or justified, given that the equipment did not meet the agreed-upon criteria or functional standards. We are seeking a formal resolution and may pursue further action if necessary.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/23/2025

The copier was installed on December 20th 2024 and we received the below email from the customer on February *********.

    Good morning ***,
Thanks for checking in! So far, we have been receiving outstanding commitment and service from Madalynn! She is very helpful and supportive! She also excels at teaching me how to troubleshoot any issues or reset our counters for our teacher team. Thank you so much. I will let you know if we need to increase our printing capacity in the near future. Have a great weekend!

The customer did not mention any issues with the copier aside from a faulty toner which was replaced the same day, helping them setup department codes, and they had network issues causing the wireless connection to be unstable which was resolved by running an ethernet cable directly to the router, until they were several months late on their payments and they made the first payment in April 2025.  A couple weeks after we received the payment, we received a call about how terrible the copier is and that they have received horrible customer service.  We offered to come out and fix any issues they had since we had not received any service requests, but they declined and said that they wanted to cancel the lease agreement.  We informed the customer that the lease was not able to be canceled and that we wanted to try to resolve any issues that they had.

We did not hear anything else from them until June when we contacted them again about not receiving a payment since April.  At that time we received another call stating that the copier had so many issues and that our customer service has caused disruptions to their business.  At that time, we again offered to resolve any issues they had, but they declined and said that they wanted to cancel the agreement.  We again told them that the lease was not able to be cancelled, but offered a settlement for us to pick up the copier, cover the open invoices, and close out the agreement.

To date, we have received one payment in April.  We would like to come to a resolution with this issue but we have received no response from the customer aside from they want to cancel the agreement due to non-performance.  Their lease agreement specifically says that it cannot be cancelled for any reason, but we felt the settlement was a fair solution instead of having a problem customer for the next five years.
