am filing a complaint against Logan Mechanical regarding ************ performed on July 27, 2025 (Job #*****). The technician, diagnosed a failed ECM blower motor, which was covered under warranty. I was quoted $560 for 4 hours of labor, which I agreed to based on the understandingconfirmed by both ******* and the operatorthat this charge was strictly for on-site labor. The written proposal also clearly outlines included tasks (removal, replacement, testing, cleanup) and excludes parts, which were covered by the warranty. The appointment was scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The technician did not arrive until after 10:00 AM and completed the job by 12:30 PM, totaling approximately 2.5 hours of actual labor. Despite this, I was still required to pay the full $560.When I questioned the charge, I was told by the operator that it included technician travel time. ******* later insisted he disclosed this to me, which he did not. The written agreement makes no mention of travel or part pickup being included in the labor charge. When I raised these concerns, ******* responded rudely, saying, We dont need your business, and threatened to remove the part and start from scratch. This interaction was unprofessional and felt retaliatory. This is not about the money its about transparency and fair business practice. I am requesting a partial refund or adjustment to reflect the actual hours worked, based on the written agreement. Additionally base on ****** review Mr ***** has history of threaten to remove the items.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/20/2025

In response to this customers complaint, customer made several claims and statements that are false.

      1. Customer indicates they had an issue with cost due to not being informed about job tasks that were included, such as returning the damaged part under warranty, travel time and the fact that Logan Mechanical was not transparent about what the total cost of $560 included.

Prior to the customer returning the signed proposal, she spoke with supervisor, ******* *****, who informed her that part of the cost included picking the new part up and returning the warranty part back to the store. This discussion happened and was clarified by Logan Mechanical BEFORE the customer sent back the signed proposal and scheduled the work. We never stated that the labor was strictly for on-site tasks only.

      2. Task one stated in the signed proposal indicates that we had to verify and get warranty approved; this task clearly indicates that there is a warranty process that we have to go through. This includes returning the warranty part in order to be reimbursed for the new part. This is standard across MANY industries. If you are claiming warranty the original part must be returned. Nevertheless if it wasnt clear by task one, we clarified further during the phone call what the costs included.

      3. We did not tell the customer we dont need their business. The customer questioned the price AFTER the work was completed and AFTER she had a clarifying phone conversation about the costs AND signed the proposal. She took an unfriendly tone with our service technician and supervisor and we were confused by this because we had already informed her of the costs prior to her scheduling with us and she signed the proposal as it was written. We offered to remove the new part, re-install her faulty part, and start the process over if she wanted it to go differently.

      4. We have many exceptional ****** reviews that specifically call out how honest, reasonably priced and communicative our technicians and staff are. Ms. ******** is attempting to disparage our reputation with false statements and indicating she did not know something that she clearly did PRIOR to us coming to complete the work.

The attached supporting documentation outlines a few critical elements that negate claims made by Ms. ****************** Time stamped voice call recording dated Monday, Jul 28, 2025, 12:14PM that clearly tells Ms. ******** what the costs included; she never requests updated documentation or expresses any further concern with the information we provided.

      2. Email screen shot of her returning the signed proposal AFTER that phone call on Monday, Jul 28, 2025, 12:22PM

      3. Signed proposal highlighting task #1 which states that we have to verify and get warranty approved.

In Addition, we reached out to Ms. ******** via email to try to better understand her issue because of the above and her agreeing to the price and signing the proposal. She sent one reply to our attempt to reach out and moments later started filing complaints and leaving us bad reviews. She didnt want a resolve. We have provided sufficient evidence to refute all of the claims she made, most importantly, that she did not know what the $560 included before we scheduled and completed her job. If she had an issue with the price, transparency, etc. with Logan Mechanical were unclear why she would still sign the proposal, return it and proceed to schedule the job with us. Only when it was time for payment did she question the price that had thoroughly been explained already.
