    I previously had account with *********************************************. I called on 15 May 2025 at 1:57 pm to close my account. I was told the account was closed at that time. On 3 June 2025, I noticed my account was charged for $90 on 1 Jun 2025. I called Ambers disposal again at 1:21 pm informing that I had requested for the account to be closed and was told that whomever I spoke with forgot to remove my credit information but I would receive my refund. I checked my account again, today, 20 Jun and saw I hadnt received my refund. The lady on the phone proceeded to tell me that I never called to cancel my account and she will only refund $60 dollars. I asked for a manager and she claimed to be the owner and hung up in my face.

    I use Ambers disposal as my trash pick up service. Starting back in November they did not pick up anyones trash in my development for two weeks. I have called to ask why and they will not return my phone call. Other people in the neighborhood have called and Ive gotten multiple different excuses from the lady who works there. Then in December/ January, they did not pick up for 3 weeks. Again, many of us called to find out if they were going to credit us for them not picking up our trash. And many of have not gotten a phone call back. This week they are a day later picking up and I watched the drivers pull only one bag trash out of my can and left everything else in it. Because of them not being reliable people are forced to leave their trash piled up by the street and animals are getting into it which in turn we all have to go out in the cold and pick up trash all along our road. I have asked multiple times to be refunded and have gotten no response.

    When I got home after work my trashcan was picked up by Ambers disposal. When I contacted the office and ask them why they said it was because I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they ended my services. I again asked them for a refund and they would only issue a refund for my remaining already paid quarter. They would not issue the refund for the weeks/month that they did not perform the service of picking up our trash in the community. I was then told to f*** off and got hung up on.

    First it was claimed we moved out as of August 2023 in which we have been living in the same house since 2017 (AND NO ONE TOLD YOU WE DID) and not only that not pick up the trash for months IN WHICH I HAD TO GO TO THE CHARLES COUNTY DUMP FOR MONTHS but now they claim we didn't pay a bill that we never received or was ever generated because A NEW SERVICE WAS ACTUALLY SUPPOSE TO START AS OF March 22, 2024 since *****'s staff thought we moved out for whatever reason and we would start anew as of that date. It was suppose to have been resolved on March 22, 2024 but today April 9, 2024 service was terminated by *****'s Disposal.My wife was told by the customer service person on March 22, ***************************************************************************************************************************************************** SHE HAD TO PAY A BILL (THAT DOESN'T EXIST) WHICH WAS CLAIMED BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON TODAY, IN WHICH WAS A LIE AND TOLD ME TO NEVER CALL AGAIN WHEN I CALLED HER OUT BECAUSE I WAS ACTUALLY PRESENT WHEN MY WIFE WAS SPEAKING TO THE OTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON ON MARCH 22, 2024. We shouldn't be liable for any bill since no service was performed because they never picked up my trash from August 1, 2023 to March 22, 2024 and they thought we moved out. The customer service person couldn't tell us an amount because it doesn't exist AND ONE SHOULDN'T EXIST.Also the individual that came to my house on the company's behalf with a long metal rod in his hand claiming "this is for stray animals" which is ridiculous and was caught on my door camera. Unless he has a permit registered in the state of ******** to carry a metal rod to people's front door I SUGGEST THEY BE TOLD TO CUT THAT OUT.

    I pay ambers disposal about 75 dollars per month for trash pickup services. My payments to ambers gets paid by monthly auto pay. My trash pickup date is weekly, every Friday. March 15 2024 ambers failed to pick up trash at all, when questioned they said that they could maybe swing by later in the day. Yesterday March 29 2024 they yet again failed to pick up my curbside trash can. When I called to ask why the operator told me we do not pick trash up on weekends. And maybe a truck will show up some time next week.

    I've been a customer of Ambers' Disposal for many years. In the past 2 years, 'Routinely" they have missed picking up my trash on the required days. I live on Route 6, a Scenic Route and my husband and I are disabled. I have to get help to put the trash out and pick it up. This week, we have 2 full cans that should have been picked up on Tues. When I contacted the Company on Tues evening to ask why it hadn't been picked up, I was informed, our "Trucks are Overwhelmed" and she guaranteed me, it would be picked up the next day. Wed, came and went - no pick up and No communication returned as the representative promised to inform me of pick up time/day. If this was the "FIRST" time, I would not complain to the BBB. BUT, it has become routine and it's causing hardship on us, a sore eye on the Road, and lastly, this am, my kind neighbor spent 45 mins' picking up trash that was on the ground. More than likely animals are getting into the trash bin. I Pay for a service (automatic payment) - "That I'm not getting". I plan to change companies 'IMMEDIATELY". I was also informed that I could not get a REFUND. Trash service runs through the End of April. I would appreciate your help recouping my past payment as "SERVICES WERE NOT RENDERED". Thank you

    My wife and I have a contract with Amber's disposal service for trash/garbage pickup twice a week (every Monday and Thursday). For the past several months, pick-up has been sporadic - usually missing Mondays and coming a day later and again on Thursday. That has progressed recently to no Monday or a next day pick-up at all. My wife and I have called several times to confirm our service days, complain and request the services that we pay for - only to be met with such answers as "oh, we didn't know" "we don't know why" "we are understaffed right now" to my personal favorite, "we can't get parts for our trucks". Never have we received an offer for a next day pick-up or partial refund despite our requests for them. I understand from today's call to Amber's that it is Amber's policy not to refund for missed pick-ups unless we have incurred the expense of taking the trash to the dump ourselves and have a receipt to show it has been done. We disagree with that policy. This is a breach of the contract with Amber's - there are no contract exclusions allowing for the frequent and continued missed pick-ups because of understaffing or inability to locate parts for garbage trucks. Similarly, Amber's would not excuse missed payments for their services because "I can't pay my bill due to illness that week" or "I can't find money to pay as agreed". A refund is for missed pick-up days is appropriate.
