in May of 2022 I sign a contract with Bay Display to have an advertisement for one year at a local gym.the cost for the year was 358.00. for almost the past 2 years they have taken out that amount every month for a total of 5,728.00. I also did not renew my contract when it expired in may 2023
i have sent numerous emails and left messages and no one will respond to my request to be reimbursed for money that was wrongfully taken from my account.Customer Answer

We bought ad space (physical space on the community board at ********************** in *******, **) from Bay Display for our small school, ***************** in *******, **. The email from the business owner, ***** ****, along with the contract, stated that the ad space is $458 for a calendar year, to start on the day we supply the artwork."5. Affordableits only $458.00 for the entire year!"*** **** approached us with this advertising opportunity in 2022 and we passed on it, but decided to buy it in 2023 since it was a pretty good deal.We provided a credit card number when we signed the contract. We were first charged in July 2023, then were charged each month following, until we noticed in October and called *** ****, who responded by email. I explained the error - "Thanks for emailing. I just learned this week that we have been charged multiple times for our display ad at *********************** We agreed to pay $458 for the year, but have been charged 4 times! Can you please let whoever handles billing know that it is not a recurring charge? We will also need to be refunded the last 3 charges, totaling $1,374. "She responded "I will take care of it. " on October 13, 2023. We have heard nothing from her since, and were charged again on November 20, and we emailed again. "The ************* was charged another $458 on November 20, which brings the amount we are owed $1,832." She has not responded or answered the phone since October, and we had to deactivate my school credit card so we wouldn't be charged anymore. We have reported fraud to our credit card company for all the charges over the agreed upon $458, but have not yet been refunded. We have a signed contract for the ad, & emails from *** ****, who has gone silent. *I did stop by the golf course and our ad is there. The manager said he never saw anyone post it, and he isn't aware of anyone else buying space, and has never seen or met *** ***** This is all very strange, and we cannot afford this.Business Response

In March of 2023, we agreed to a contract to advertise with Bay Display for Clustered Spires Golf Course in Frederick, MD. We were charged $458 on 3/29/23 and told in the contract and in the email that the fee is to cover an entire year. We were then charged $458 twice more (once on 4/30/23 and again on 6/2/23), for a total of 3 charges. After the charge on 4/30, I reached out understanding that mistakes are made, and asked for a refund. I received a response that it would be taken care of. Then we noticed a second overcharge on 6/2. Again, I reached out asking for the refund of 2 overcharges. As in the past, I was told that it would be taken care of. I have now called multiple times and sent a last effort email trying to get a refund for the $916, with no avail. She has not responded to my email, or returned any of my phone calls.Business Response

The owner of the business has not addressed how the issue will be resolved and how my money will be refunded. She seemingly has only agreed with the statement of "yes yes" that she has not refunded me. She has not stated whether she intends to refund the money, when, or how. I would like to get the $916 back that I'm due as these were fraudulent charges. From reading other posters on here, it seems as if this is a common thread with her, and I am due my refund. I have attached details to show the signed contract along with a screenshot of the 3 charges, with no corresponding refund.Business Response

***** from Bay Display reached out to our company in November of 2022.She offered 1 year of advertising at a local golf course for a one time payment of ****** We signed up and gave her our credit card for the payment. Fast forward to June, our bookkeeper noticed our card has been charged monthly since November for $358 each month. Thats a total of $2864.00 in charges. Original agreement was for a 1 time $358 charge. Unfortunately we didnt catch this until now and our credit card only allowed us to dispute charges 3 months back. Thus out of the 8 charges, 1 was approved, 3 have been disputed through the credit card company, but 4 unauthorized charges totaling $1432 remain. The business and ***** are non responsive to regular mail, email, and phone calls/voicemails.We are seeking a refund for the remaining unauthorized charges total $1432. *****, would you please do the right thing and refund us? I am rejecting this response because:There has been no responses to our calls, voicemails, emails, or US Mail that we've sent to the business. It's a fact. . . There's no room for disagreement.
Business Bay Display seems to practice offering 1 time payments for 12 months of advertising and then doesn't stop charging the credit card after the 1 time payment. To me, that is fraudulent and dishonest. To each their own, though.
I would be happy and would rescind my complaint if the business refunds us the money that they wrongly charged us. We really just want our money back.

Donna **** reached out to me in February 2022 to be apart of the advertising display at Benfield Sports Center for $558.00 for the entire year. After my art was approved I was told that my year would start in March 2022, where I have been charged now $558 every single month. I called and emailed Donna and she doesnt ever answer the phone. She emailed back in September saying she'll take care of it. I have followed up with emails and phone calls to see how I am going to be refunded the additional months and she will not return my calls or answer my emails.Business Response
