  Were very happy with the work performed by Custom Basements of New England. They finished our basement and made the process clear from the start. They were professional, punctual, and they completed the project on budget. **** and **** were a pleasure to work with and explained everything clearly and communicated all through the process. Would definitely recommend them to anyone considering finishing their basement.

  This was our first experience hiring a contractor for a major home reno project, and we were very pleased with the experience and the results. **** was up front in her assessment of the work that needed to be done and what it would cost, and the lead contractor **** was very good about discussing options when they were available. In particular, I appreciate that we ended up installing plugs instead of light bulb sockets for the overhead lighting in the unfinished area, and that we went with the spray foam insulation for the outer walls. The work was done in the time frame we expected, and the results look (and function) great, with the painters being particularly skillful and helpful in discussing precise options. I appreciate that **** pushed back our date twice when we asked, without pushback or penalty (we were trying to get a structural engineer to see if a column could be moved). We had thought **** had estimated it would cost a few thousand dollars, but once the report was done **** estimated around five times that. I'm not sure what the source of the misunderstanding was -- it could have been the specifics of our situation -- but in any case we didn't get that work done.The company takes care of everything, including pulling permits and organizing inspections, and cleaning up at the end. There were 2 unexpected charges that came up -- one for an outdoor lamp, which apparently was required by code, and another for stringing an ethernet cable we hadn't specified in the contract. We feel these charges were fair. Otherwise, everything was included in the quoted price. They also addressed issues very quickly when we brought them up; for example at the end many of the outlets were crooked, and they came the next day and straightened them.Overall, I feel like this company was transparent and fair, and the process was headache free.

  We enthusiastically recommend Custom Basements of New England without reservation. **** and her team completed our basement renovation project on time and on budget, and we are thrilled with the finished product.Although our project was smaller than many of CBNEs projects, we felt that we received the companys full attention and care throughout. At the outset, **** advised us about various options for the design and materials and helped us with our selections. She and **** went over all aspects of the project so that we knew what to expect, and there were no surprises. Once the project was underway, **** communicated with us frequently so that we always knew who was showing up for different phases of work and when. Permitting and inspections also went smoothly. In short, the professionalism and communications were top notch.Lisas team also paid close attention to detail and showed creativity in executing the design of our renovated space. For example, one corner of our basement floor has a cut-out for access to the sewer pipe. We needed to maintain that access. When the new floor was laid over the concrete, **** came up with a clever design for a removable section of flooring that was safe, secure, and attractive.Our original objectives for our renovation project were fairly modest, as we thought we would continue to use the space mainly for storage. As **** predicted, however, we now realize that we can do so much more with the space and greatly appreciate what her company was able to deliver. We are so glad that we hired CBNE for our project.

  **** and her team were great to work with and did an incredible job finishing the basement. **** was professional and detailed on the layout/design for a large entertainment area. She was always available to answer any questions. During the process, I was kept informed from start to finish which was well coordinated between all contractors/inspections. Our family is very happy with our finished basement and highly recommended CBNE to anyone interested in finishing their basement. A++

  We recently had our basement remodelled by Custom Basements of New England. We couldnt be happier with the result. From the beginning of the process both **** and **** were extremely professional and worked with us to get the basement we always wanted. **** was very responsive at all times and kept us informed throughout the whole process. We now have a wonderful family space that we enjoy daily.
