    I was working with ****** ******* who operates under the company *************************** in **********. We started the planning phase on our build back in June 2024. He assured us he was a licensed builder and could build an addition to our existing home. He reported "to make the process go quicker , I could pull the building permit as the homeowner and it would save me some good money". When I asked for his *** information for the permit, he stated "you do not need it as you are submitting the paperwork under you as the homeowner" He assured me that he had all the licenses he needed for the job. submitting the building permit was difficult process. The next phase of this process was to submit a zoning permit application, which he initially told me he could help me complete. He offered no help, and even said that he has not done a zoning application. I asked for his *** license, HIC license and liability insurance on 10/1/24 during a phone call. His conversation was unprofessional using profanity and screaming . He then emailed me a CSL license from another individual, gave me a copy of the application for Worker's comp. Insurance for type of project as other: deck, stairs and railings. No HIC license was provided. I terminated the contract with him on 10/3/24 and asked for my payment to be returned by 10/10/24. No work was done on the property. No equipment was brought on site. He responded back on 10/3 that he "overreacted and hope we can work this out" I have not heard back from him on returning my down payment. I am looking to receive a full refund. At this time, I am looking for my payment to be refunded. We are no longer interested in doing business with Mr. ******* due to unprofessional conduct and not having required licenses under his name to ********************** this job.
