I took my car to this shop for mechanical repairs. In the process, they damaged trim on my car. The owner said he would reimburse me for the repair (parts and labor). Now, in so many words, he's telling me to stick it.

n response to customer *************************** complaint:

In May of 2022 *********************** came to this shop looking to have some work done to his **** Pontiac Grand Prix.
He wanted to have a lowering kit added to the front of his car and some other mechanical work as he was wanting to restore and put some love into this vehicle.
After speaking with the shop mechanic he was aware that the front end of the car would make noise due to the coil overs and lowering kit that he requested being installed and still decided to proceed with the modifications.
Mechanics did find that the transmission needed replacing as well and the customer approved.
As the above information may be irrelevant to the complaint at hand I am including this information to show the point that the vehicle was an older model vehicle and also needed body work.
Attached to this email you will find what pictures I do have of the vehicle as it was here in the mechanic shop with the damages the customer is stating already there prior to being in our shop. So how is it fair that this shop pays for repairs that were previously on the car? Also while his vehicle was here in this shop the shop manager provided him with the company's shop truck so he would not be without a vehicle for 3 weeks. Once the vehicle was released back to ************* he did take the vehicle to another shop facility for body and paint repairs that were scheduled to be done even before he brought the vehicle here. He brought the vehicle back here to Oliver Towing and Recovery with damage again on the vehicle due to the roads he lives on and never once did he speak with the Owner of this shop.
I will also attach photos of the vehicle as it is now after all repairs have been performed and you can see he removed the pieces that are damaged due to the area that he lives in the roads
