    I contacted the owner, David ******, in reference to replacing an engine in my Ford SUV. Although he has a business and cell phone it's virtually impossible to get him to answer calls or return texts in a timely manner.

    He initially gave me an estimate of $800 for labor, but jacked it up to $1,300 without apology. He then promised to order a 5 year no fault warranty engine, which was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks. After he charged my credit card $3,165 the delivery date expanded to 8-10 weeks. Not able to wait that long, I asked him to look for other options. Days later he proceeded to order a 90 day warranty engine with 111,000 miles for $2,200 [without my permission.] He said that was the only thing available and he didn't call me for approval of the purchase, because these engines go fast. When I told him to cancel the order he insisted I would be responsible for the $275 shipping fee. When I asked Mr. ****** to refund my credit card he refused to do so and said he wouldn't do so until all the necessary steps are done. He then refused to communicate with me any further. Luckily, I paid with a credit card so I disputed the charge and will receive a full refund.

    Recognizing that I had been scammed, I decided to write this review so others would not fall victim to his game. Unfortunately, when I Googled him all I got was his personal legal issues. I've since heard from other people with very similar stories. He commonly gives a low estimate which almost doubles and takes extraordinarily long times to complete the work during which time you're required to pay $100 weekly. If you value your time, money or sanity don't do business with Finepoint Auto or Mr. ******.
