    My son took "his" truck (legally mine) into the dealership for minor repairs. The dealership determined it needed a new engine as the block was cracked. They talked to my son's friend, thinking he was the owner of the truck, and did not realize my son was the "owner" until after they had almost completed the repairs. Nothing was signed by us authorizing the repairs, no request for a down-payment on the repairs was made, was just given the bill after all repairs were done and they are now wanting paid.

    Buyer beware! Look close to those Administration fees they charge. $749.00 is a rip off just to do the sales agreement paperwork and title work. They aren't willing to dismiss or lower this cost. It just increases the amount you expected to pay for the car a whole lot. The state average is $300 to$400 plus a few dollars more....there is no set fee by law in Kansas. Dealerships can charge whatever they want. I couldn't get them to lower the fee on a used car I purchased Saturday the 12th. I didn't even get a 30 day warranty on vehicle. They refused to do any additional service work needed, above what they had already supposedly done, before the car was listed on their website. The hood struts needed replacing, the electric driver's seat wouldn't adjust forward after moving it back. They refused to repair it. So none of these issues were taken care of prior to the purchase. I checked with 3 other dealerships in town...none were charging this high of amount, even though they were too high as well.. Hatchett charges $499...Lexus charges $499..Rusty Eck charges $599. The problem is you don't find out about these charges till you go to sign the sales agreement...then wham bam...I would suggest trying to bargain with them and see if they are willing to lower the cost. I learned a hard lesson. Never again...
