    I hired this company to stain my deck and columns at the front of my home. The deck and columns begin to peel within a month of the project being completed. I contacted the vendor who assured me that the recommended stain guaranteed a 10 year warranty. He restrained some areas and within another month it begin to peel again. I reached out him to explore options to have the issue resolved. He eventually came back on site and begin to power wash to provide another product to correct the issue at hand. The power washing wasn't completed and he stated that he would come back to complete this process and to restain. Since this time he has stopped responding to phone calls or text. I would like to have assistance with getting this resolved. I am seeking another vendor that is better qualified and would like to be reimbursed for the material cost and at least half of the labor. This will allow me to use these funds to have the project done correctly by another company.

He told me that he was going to go ahead and get another contractor which I said that was fine because he did not take proper care of his product. He wants to turn and blame others for the failure it was the product, not the work. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/10/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I agree that he is a handy man. The company has done other project's that have been done to my satisfaction. He represented himself as a professional that had years of experience doing this type of work. The product was recommended by him, applied and there wasn't anything communicated to me that addittional care was needed after the project was completed. I'm not sure why he mentions/alludes to that I failed to provide proper care. The workmanship is in question because the product that he recommended failed to last for the ten (10) years that he stated that it would. This isn't a personal attack on him, but a concern with his company not delivering a service that I paid for and he stared that he could deliver. I am exploring another vendor to have it done correctly. I'm left with a deck and columns that is an eye sore and peeling.
