    Joeys Enterprises is contracted to enforce parking at the Apartment Complex I live in. On 8/31/2024, I came outside my home to find my truck was not in the parking spot where I left it earlier in the day. After realizing my truck had not been stolen, I called Joeys to see if it had been towed and if so, why. I have had the same parking permit in the lower left corner of my windshield since 11/1/2023 when I moved in. The manager, ******, answered the phone and said that yes my truck was there. When I asked why it got towed, she responded that I didnt have a parking pass displayed. After telling her I absolutely did have one displayed, she said they had pictures and could see that it was in fact there, but not the updated pass from my apartment complex. I was never given a different pass in the last 8 months. She also stated it was $336, in cash only, to regain possession of my truck. I told her I shouldnt have to pay to get my truck back since I was in compliance with the apartment policy. I also contacted an employee of Anvil 38 that same evening. She said Joeys said the permit wasnt there, but there was no updated parking pass for me to display. My mom is also on my lease and called Joeys and got met with the same rudeness and runaround from their manager. So, not only did they tow my truck when it was in compliance with my lease, they changed their story multiple times and I had to pay $336 cash to get it back. I believe these are unethical, illegal, and predatory business practices and am requesting your office look into it.
