    DO NOT HIRE! We hired **** to assemble the Eagles Nest Playhouse after he had advised us on his experience / expertise with this particular set. He informed us the build would cost $800 and would take 3 days. After day 1 we could tell they were struggling and when we went out to inspect the work there were a handful of split boards due to overtightening screws. At this point the issue seemed minor and something I was comfortable fixing later. After Day 2 we noticed the main supports for the nest were practically split in half. On day 3 I spoke to **** about the concern and he brushed it off and complained about manufacturing defects. I advised I would feel more comfortable and safer if the support pieces were replaced which he agreed to replace and ordered the replacement parts himself with my approval. **** then requested to be paid in full today which I told him I would feel more comfortable paying half now and balance at completion. From there **** went on a rant about getting his people paid and how he shouldnt be held accountable for things outside his control and promised he would finish the project and would accept $700 today and remaining $100 at completion. At this time I took a chance and paid him the full $830, he requested additional $30 for a box of screws. The replacement parts were received and upon Erics arrival realized they were either ordered or shipped incorrectly. I decided to re-order the replacement parts myself and he again agreed to come back out to finish the job. Parts received on Monday and **** confirmed hed be back on Thursday. On Thursday morning **** advised it would now be Friday. On Friday **** pushed it out to Saturday or Sunday but no showed and never communicated. On Monday I reached out to him again and he advised Tuesday evening. On Tuesday he advised he would give me $100 back and asked if I wanted to explore another contractor. I advised I didnt want to hire someone else and preferred him to complete the job he agreed to
