      Amount Paid: $125 (enrollment fee)

Business: Master’s International School of Divinity (MISD)

      Complaint Description:

On May 13, 2025, I submitted an application and paid a $125 enrollment fee to Master’s International School of Divinity (MISD) after being offered admission into their Doctor of Biblical Studies program. Shortly after, I decided not to attend and notified them via email. On May 20, 2025, I contacted them again to request reconsideration, since I had already been accepted and had paid the fee.

Instead of addressing my request, I received an unexpected and concerning email. MISD denied re-enrollment based on unrelated past academic history. The email cited personal education data that had apparently been obtained from another school, ********** ***** ********** ****** without my knowledge or consent. This includes a detailed count of my past enrollments and withdrawals at *** — information that I did not authorize either party to share or use.

I also noticed inconsistencies in their records. For example, they claimed I had been accepted into a doctoral program at MISD in 2008, even though I did not yet have a qualifying master’s degree. They later stated I was dismissed from a master’s program in 2012, which contradicts the earlier claim.

Despite these discrepancies and the troubling use of potentially improperly shared academic data, MISD refused to refund the $125 I paid only days earlier. I believe this is an unfair business practice, especially since they had accepted my enrollment, then retroactively revoked it based on disputed and possibly unlawfully obtained information.

To date, MISD has not made any effort to resolve the issue. I am submitting this complaint in hopes of receiving a fair and professional resolution.

      05/08/2025 - Student enrolled - paid $125.00 Enrollment Fee

05/13/25 Student decided to withdraw and requested that we retain the $125.00 Fee as a donation.

Shortly afterward he wanted to enroll again and our Dean of Studets advised that due to his history of enrolling and withdrawing he would not be eligble to re-enroll.

      05/20/25 received a dispute form *** *** for $125.00

      05/21 Student was refunded $125.00 through *** ***.
