A lawn care company I hired in the spring notified me on 11/12 that they would be coming the next day to apply a winter fertilizer on my lawn. They had never notified me before of when they were coming. I replied that I wanted to cancel this service as I could not afford it. I stated I would be interested in snow removal later in the year. They stated I needed to notify them 30 days in advance to cancel. They had never informed me of that before. They also said their program consisted of 7 applications from spring thru fall. Their website states it is a program of 5 applications. I actually hired another lawn care company because they did not show up for 2 months. They simply showed up in late June and I ended up cancelling the second company I hired. They suggested I go into my account to see when they had been here and how much they charged. I had never established an account. When I tried to establish one today, the site did not recognize my email address, the same email to which they had sent my invoices. When the owner would not accommodate my cancellation, I informed him I wanted to end any and all future services with his company. They came the next day when I was not at home and applied more fertilizer. To add insult to injury, my lawn has never looked worse. There are dead spots throughout and growth is stunted. Previous organic fertilizers I've used produced a lush, fast-growing lawn. I am deeply disappointed with this company's service and ethics.

      Business Response

      Hi ****,
I am sorry you were not happy with our service, and this is something I take personally. Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and doing what we say well do is our core values and I want to make sure you are satisfied with everything we do. When we first spoke you wanted a lawn care provider to make your lawn a beautiful place. The estimate we sent you showed a 7 application plan which was accepted by you on April 30th at 12:19. This season was brutal on our lawns since we had really hot days and not a lot of rain. The formulation to  beautiful and healthy lawn is proper mowing, watering, and feeding your lawn. We were able to feed your lawn what it needed, but since you had another company mowing we had no control over the results nor could we control the amount of water that was applied. We occasionally send out mass email to all our clients to help them improve their lawns with tips and tricks.
When you messaged us the other day you were already on our schedule and we can not remove jobs once they are scheduled. I mentioned I would give you a $5 discount instead of your normal $55 per application. This was the second discount we provided you after the mess up with the spring scheduling. During our conversation I tried to explain our 30 day cancellation policy that were on our terms and conditions that you accepted through the estimate. Our CRM software automatically sends out notifications a day before to remind customers of their appointment. All our clients have access to their invoices and account any time they want. We do try to provide our clients the best service we can while taking care of their lawns.
I took some screen shots of the estimate, terms and conditions, and all the times we serviced your lawn. We would like the opportunity to continue to keep you as a customer the following season by providing you with a discounted rate all next year. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do.
      Thank you
