My furnace was replaced on Jan 30, 2025. It is CARRIER family of brands. The installation was very poor as it leaks lots of air all over the furnace room. The installer/owner of the company **** ***** installed the furnace. The humidifier was detached and never put it back. On May 15, 2025, I found out that the ** water couldn't drained out instead water came back inside and made flood in the furnace room. This happened the first time ever since the Furnace was replaced. Upon contacting the installer/company **** *****, he said it's not his problem and didn't honor the warranty of the installation/labor/parts instead he was being rude. I ended up calling another HV** technician to fix the issue. The HV** technician said entire installation is wrong as the Furnace leaking too much air and not sealed properly. He said the water pump which is attached to furnace put it wrong and due to improper installation made water not to drain once the ** runs. The ********* said that you should ask the installation company to come back and re-sealed the furnace and install the drain pump and PVC pipe correctly. The furnace installation is still under warranty. I want Leyva's Heating & A/C company to come back and re-do the installation of furnace and seal everything under the village of ************ code. If he can't do it then I need installation money back.

    Business Response

I, **** A *****, did a furnace installation for *************** at ************************* **********************. After the installation was completed Mr. **** asked for the invoice and went home, as the property where the installation was completed is a rental and there were tenants there. I called the next day asking for payment as he had agreed with the home warranty that a payment of $950 was to be paid once the installation was completed. I will attach a picture of this. I called many times before I finally got an answer from him and he sent a payment through Zelle of $495, of course I contacted him again and after many many phone calls and going back and forth he sent another payment through Zelle of $200, still not the full payment. There was a due balance of $255 still. I gave up on trying to contact him and just took this as a loss for myself after not receiving the full payment. This has never happened with a client before. The home warranty tells them exactly how much they have to pay out of pocket and they agree before the job is even started. Fast forward 5 months later, Mr. **** has contacted me saying his air conditioning is leaking water and expecting me to come in, I explained the air conditioning leaking water has nothing to do with my furnace installation and it is a completely different issue. I said if he wanted me to come in and take a look at his furnace he would have to pay a ************ Fee to which he denied, and I reminded him again of the balance that was still owed from 5 months prior to which again he denied and continued to threaten me that he was going to sue me and my business. I am willing to come in the property and fix any issues that could be related to the FURNACE installation but I have nothing to do with the air conditioning.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. Mr. ******* wrong accusation of payment not made in time. I offered him to charge on my credit card as soon as the installation was completed but he refused to take the credit card and demand for cash. I wasn't carrying cash at the time; therefore, I requested if I could send either check or Zelle the money. Mr. ***** agreed upon Zelle. This made Mr. ***** absolutely wrong that he had to call numerous times to get paid.

    2. Mr. ***** didn't return a brand-new part which was installed by him in my old Furnace four days ago to get the furnace running in the interim replacing/ordering with the new furnace. He had charged me $125. Upon demanding to return the brand-new part Mr. ***** said he junked it and didn't want to reimburse.

    3. Then I asked Mr. ***** where my old furnace is as he didn't get my consent to dispose of. Mr. ******* response was that I junked it and didn't offer reimbursement. The old furnace could easily sell it to "metal shop" for $200. I took the loss of $325 just because Mr. ***** was very comfortable and didn't feel to get a consent/permission from the owner before removing/disposing off the equipment.

    4. It's getting more interesting as Mr. ***** brought an upward air flowing Furnace instead of downward air flowing Furnace. In order to correct his mistake and take it back to the shop and exchange it with the correct equipment, Mr. ***** decided to install the Furnace upside down (picture attached).

    5. As I mentioned in my initial complaint the installation was very poor, new furnace not sealed properly, upside down furnace installation, leaks lots of air, the humidifier was never installed, the water pump was initially removed by Mr. ***** to install the new furnace but didn't install correctly. On May 15, 2025, I found out that the ** water couldn't drained out instead water came back inside and made flood in the furnace room. I didn't ask Mr. ***** to come back and fix my Air condition issue instead I asked to correct the installation of water pump which is part of the new furnace, and it was removed/installed by Mr. **************** conclusion, I would like ******* Heating & A/C to come back and install the correct equipment (downward Air flow furnace), sealed it to the extent where NO air leaks and verify with meter for leaks, re-install the water pump and install the humidifier, abide the Village of ************ codes.

I need this done by first week of July or earlier as the Village of *********** inspector will be coming to inspect the property in July. And if this is not corrected then Village of ************ will heavily fine me. In that scenario ***** Heating & A/C will be responsible to pay the fine and possibly lose their HV** license for incorrect installation.

Below is the detail about the payments with dates that was made via Zelle in order to proof the allegations Mr. ******* imposed on me which is absolutely wrong. I have attached the receipts.

First payment was made on the same day Jan 30, 2025, in the amount of $5 to confirm the payment was received by the recipient. (Attached bank statement as proof)

Upon confirmation, the second payment was made on the same day Jan 30, 2025, in the amount of $495. ***** has daily amount restriction of $500 to send in 24hrs. It was communicated with Mr. **** ***** on Jan 30, 2025, and he was agreed to send the rest amount next day/24hrs of restrictions lift up. (Attached bank statement as proof)

The third payment was made on Feb 01, 2025, in the amount of $200. (Attached bank statement as proof)

    Sincerely,

    Furqan Raki
